Well that's super encouraging!

Pick Connor Halliday in the 7th.

If he goes undrafted he can't enter the draft next year. He also can't get his value because the maximum that you can give him $70,000 for the entire undrafted rookie crop. However he can become a free agent sooner.

This. If he performs, he'll get a big payday a lot sooner.

If he's not drafted he can sign with any team so he can regain part of his value. If a team drafts him then his value is set. Can any one clear up his eligibility for next year's draft if he goes undrafted? Or if he is drafted but doesn't sign?

If he goes undrafted, he's ineligible to go into next year's draft.

I think Wrath disagreed with this, or someone else...but this is my recollection as well. So his two options are...get drafted and sign or be undrafted and sign with whoever. Does the rookie salary scale cover UDFAs? I'm sure it must. No win situation.
anyone who could explain me the punter-pick save for cap savings due a possible cut of Andy Lee?

Ahh, thanks to both! No win, indeed!

I was hoping this draft would have caused excitement for the faithful. Instead I'll go into the season with low expectations hoping for the best.

Just need to draft him and try to make it work. Not a big deal if it doesn't.

He had 3 solo tackles in the game, just no TFL, sacks, or QB hurries.

I think the 49ers have a better chance pursuing him as a UDFA, offering him the max and a potential starting spot.

pointless to discuss it anyway. He won't be drafted. The announcement he made certainly scared the teams off completely.
