Thoughts??

I gave my thoughts about it when it was first posted in the forums last Thursday.
The Raiders would win day one if they could trade down to #15 and still land Ray.
these idiots reporters who think they know more then the GM and Where there is really a soon to be need are just wrong,It is not the DL that has a pressing need,if the 9ersare going to trade that high up it better be for Cooper or White, there is where the need is,they are looking at Talent but it is not the pressing talent we will need next year, LWilliams is a very talented player, but not a Urgent Need player that is needed in the near future, either these idiot reporter don`t see it or their are so full of themselves they don`t care.
Hell no. Jim Tomsula is too good of a dline coach for us to move up to the top of the draft when we could stay pat and draft a defensive lineman.

So we are set at 5tech ? That idiot reporter has us moving up to get the consensus best prospect available in this draft class. Just because it i s not our biggest need does not make it a bad pick, and the success of this team these last few years were based on running the football and solid D. Look at Seattle who was in the last 2 SB's and won one, and New England...they did not need to load up at WR.

Williams adds a versatile lineman who can both rush the passer and stuff the run and allows us the ability to run multiple fronts. I get the longterm need behind Boldin but there is more than one way to skin a cat and we don't NEED to spend a high pick on Q's replacement (though I would not be against that either).
Shane Ray still there at 15?
Oh well, if you're going to pick a DL in the 1st round he needs to be a 3 down player. Might as well get the best one available. Hate to see what it'd cost though.

Also the Raiders are not going to trade out of there. McKenzie needs a big hit in the draft and that means White or Cooper. Taking Williams would also be a very positive move for them. Cornerstone player.
WE NEED TO REPLACE JUSTIN SMITH'S PRESENCE. Tomsula can really coach up talent, but we don't have talent anywhere near Leonard Williams. Consistent pressure with the front four >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> *

This would be a f**king dream. I think the team is happy enough with the red-shirts they might just do it.

I think McKenzie is confident enough to hang his hat on Carr and his potential.
I can't even dream this scenario.

Jumping up that high from 15 would likely cost us our 2016 first round pick. I don't think Baalke is going to surrender that especially considering our 2016 1st could very well be a top 10 pick.

That he would be. But they still have a load of holes, if landing our 2nd rounder this year plus some is part of the deal it might be worth it for them. But I would think Gurley is a better pick at 15 for them than Ray as he too would be a cornerstone player. And the way Banks mock falls they could move into the back of round 1 or up in two to get Jaelen Strong (to pair with Crabs and Jones). Alternatively at WR if they stood pat and Strong is gone, there is Smith, Agholor, Coates, Perriman, Lockett and Dorsett who could be had in round 2...plethora of options.

And they still would have the additional 2nd rounder from us to target a DL, though they could go just about anywhere on D. Gurley, Strong + BPA on D at 46 + 2016 2nd round pick could be a nice haul for Oakland. Hard to say if that haul is better than getting Williams given he is the BPA in this draft but it is close.

I think Carr was the 2nd best QB in that draft behind Bridgewater.
