I highly doubt they would give up this type of power to the fans. Maybe fan vote to determine a UFA who can come in for at least a tryout?

If you owned a billion dollar company, with highly paid management that specializes in scouting talent, let the masses pick who some of your employees would be?

The common fan can barely get the Pro Bowl voting correct, now you are asking them to scout college players? To make a 2nd round pick? That's crazy. Fun idea, but crazy in a bad way.

These scouting departments spend way too much time and money studying and interviewing these prospects to turn over control to a fan poll for even one pick. And how could you control who votes? It's likely that other teams fans would try to pollute the vote for a hated rival **cough**Seahawk fans**cough**

Only if it had no outcome on the actual pick...like just a poll or something just to let the fans be involved. But to actually let fans pick a player for a team is laughable.

With the 2nd round pick in the draft, the Seahawks select Deon sandcastle

Most fans don't pay enough attention long enough to make an intelligent pick, much less even cursory scouting or studying. Forgetting the fact that those rich owners will never give up that kind of power to anyone, it would be almost impossible to determine whether or not the "fan" is authentic and truly has the teams best interest in mind. Because I admit, I'd be all for the Seaducks and Cards drafting Kyle Loomis in the 2nd.

Lol so you'd have qb's the first 32 picks then every year. You might get people picking based on looks, personality, or if they had some type of connection in someway versus skill and the grading system.

However if this ever did happen. I would pick all 7 picks for the Seahawks as kickers. The Cowboys I would pick all punters.

Yes. This is a truly terrible idea.
As an alternative idea, if a team has a complete numpty like Roman calling the plays, the fans ought to be allowed to pick every second down play. Couldn't have worked out worse last year.
