Agreed, but my intent was not to project the pick, only to assess the biggest need.

Right well I'm sure everyone agrees DL, CB, ILB are our biggest needs but I'm not to sure there is a player (at those positions) that are worth the 15th pick

Picking for need in the first three rounds insures you become a mediocre team.
49ers need to trade down from 15 and pick up an extra 2nd rounder or early 3rd rounder. 49ers need to come away with a CB prospect, a DE/DT prospect, a WR prospect, an OG prospect and of course an ILB prospect. That is A LOT of holes. As for the 1st round, 49ers can go in a LOT of directions. I personally would trade down maybe even twice to pick up 6 picks in the top 100. With 6 picks in the top 100 it gives balke more Darts at the Board.

So when the 9ers needed a TE who did they take?? When the 9ers clearly needed a ILB who did they take??? When the 9ers needed a Safety to replace Goldson, who did they take?? When the 9ers needed to upgrade their pass rush who did they take?? All were clear weaknesses to the team in recent years.

Right those players Davis,Reid, and Willis were also pretty close to BPA as well

I know right.

I don't think anyone would be mad of a combination of:

1st - Danny Shelton......2nd - Kevin Johnson

or

1st - Marcus Peters.......2nd - Eddie Goldman

or

1st - Trae Waynes......2nd - Stephone Anthony

I really like you 2nd selections of Peters and Goldman.
All of the above. they need help at all those positions. Jerome Simpson is a bone head and could get kicked off the team at any minute and Torrey Smith is reported to being pay 9.6 mil in two year. I'm not sure if he is a 9.6 mil a year WR. I think they need help at all those spots. If someone is not there that stand out to them at 15 I think they should trade down.

Agree with this, 1st 3 picks should be CB, DL, ILB in no particular order.

I like Peters in the 1st with a race down to get an extra 2nd, then go ILB and DL with those Rd2 picks - Mario Edwards or Marcus Hardison would be availble in lower 2nd Rd.
Goldman's going end of 1st, beginning of 2nd, plus he's more of a 4-3 DE or NT in a 3-4.

Best player available whether offense or defense for me
If dgb or parker end up on our laps it would be hard to resist. that said, I think waynes or peters are the best pick value and need wise. Next is defensive line and offensive linemen. MLB is our biggest need but there isnt anyone worthy for the 15th pick.

I dont think Goldman makes it past Detriot.

How in the heck can anyone say WR now??

Did you people see what's starting at CB as of right now, DL isn't any better??

With D Line, O Line, CB and especially what just happened to our ILB positions this offseason WR is just rediculous. But it doesn't surprise me it's still high up the list. People like glamor positions.

WR is currently running 2nd. ILB is last. I think that tells you a lot about WZ fans right there. We lost Willis, Borland and Bowman is coming back from an injury and we don't know if he will ever be the same. So we are down 2 and maybe all 3 of our talented ILB's but according to the WZ we don't need one and we need a WR much more even after signing Torrey Smith. One of the best deep threats in the game.......

Excellent, any one of the three would be a great draft.
BPA on the defensive side.
