Yeah, and somehow getting paid in the process
Dave Birkett, Detroit Free Press, April 29

No. 15 San Francisco 49ers: DE Arik Armstead, Oregon
Armstead is one of the most physically imposing defensive linemen in the draft.

The tell tale is that I dont believe any of the local beat writers chose armstead tot the niners. why? because they know what baalke looks for.

San Francisco 49ers - CB Kevin Johnson:
The 49ers need to rebuild their secondary and this would great a foundation. Some believe he will turn out to be the best corner in the draft and I've heard nothing but growing positive buzz in the weeks leading up to the draft. Would be a clean pick for the 49ers after dealing with plenty of character issues the past few years. If the 49ers went with defensive tackle Arik Armstead here I wouldn't be surprised, either.

maybe get this guy number one,, and then get the iowa defensive lineman number two?
Mayock has us choosing Armstead in his annual mock draft... I had to shut the TV off. It's like these "experts" aren't even trying!

I think they all got together and decided to mock the same guy since nobody can predict what Baalke will do in the first round.

PICK NO.15, ARIK ARMSTEAD, DT, OREGON
The sky is the limit for Armstead. He's a perfect scheme fit for the 49ers as a five-technique defensive lineman.

15. San Francisco 49ers: Marcus Peters, CB, Washington
Peters is the most talented corner in this draft as he showed superb coverage skills for the Huskies. Problem is he was booted off the team during the season and he poses a risk for any team that drafts him. Oregon defensive lineman Arik Armstead also may fit here.

One troll job after another. When they're not picking armstead they mention him as choice 1-B

Grant Cohn, Press Democrat & BR, April 30

Round 1: Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia
If Gurley drops to pick No. 15, how can the Niners pass on him? They're a run-first team, and Gurley is the best running back to enter the draft since Adrian Peterson.

THE SELECTION

With the 15th pick in the 2015 draft, the 49ers will take former Georgia running back Todd Gurley if he's available. He simply is too good for the Niners to pass on him. Some draft experts think he's the best running back to come out of college since Adrian Peterson. Gurley probably would have been a top-five pick if he hadn't torn his ACL last October. If some team takes him before the Niners, they will draft a replacement for Justin Smith — former Texas Longhorn Malcom Brown, a quick, powerful defensive tackle.

Chris Biderman, Niners Digest, April 30

First Round, pick 23*: Byron Jones (6-1, 199), CB, Connecticut
The 49ers move back in the first round because receiver DeVante Parker is off the board and the value isn't there to pick at 15. Jones checks every box: freakish athleticism (147-inch broad jump, an unofficial world record, 44.5-inch vertical, 4.40 forty), good size, long arms, and a potential team captain. He will be in the mix for playing time at cornerback, a position of need, right away.

*49ers trade pick No. 15 to the Arizona Cardinals for pick No. 23 and 86 (third round)

Josh Norris, RotoWorld, April 30

15. San Francisco 49ers - WR DeVante Parker, Louisville
Beyond Anquan Boldin, the 49ers lack a receiver who can be trusted in contested situations. Boldin might be nearing the end of his career, and Vernon Davis can say the same with the 49ers - potentially. Parker floats to win on 50/50 targets and in the redzone.
