Mock drafts from official publications, broadcasters and websites

I hope Baalksula give this mess of dumbass AA prognosticators a giant sh!tburger to chew on. Don't want that guy before the 2nd round.

There's just no way Baalke takes Armstead. His film isn't top 15 pick worthy and we know a players film is what matters most to Baalke. This is Baalkes highest pick in 4 years and there's no way he uses it on a player that is mainly potential.

I think he either trades up for Cooper, or takes a player most have rated as a late 1st rounder. Players like Eli Harold, Byron Jones, Cameron Erving

I had a dream last night we traded with Jacksonville and grabbed Leonard Williams.

PICK NO.15, ARIK ARMSTEAD, DT, OREGON
Armstead fits the team's 3-4 defense perfectly.

Round 1, pick No. 15: Malcom Brown, DT, Texas
The Niners have had at least one great defensive tackle for the past 22 years. They drafted Dana Stubblefield with the 26th pick in 1993. He made three Pro Bowls and one All-Pro team in five seasons with the Niners. The Niners drafted Bryant Young with the 7th pick in 1994. He made four Pro Bowls and one All-Pro team in 14 seasons with the Niners. When Young retired in 2008, the 49ers gave a $45 million contract to former No.4 pick Justin Smith. He made five Pro Bowls and one All-Pro team in seven season with San Francisco. To replace Smith, one of the best players in franchise history, the 49ers will draft one of the best defensive tackles available this year – Malcom Brown. The Niners do not skimp on defensive tackles.

15. San Francisco 49ers: Arik Armstead, DE, Oregon
This is an interesting debate to have, but probably one that will get eye rolls from 49ers fans: Is San Francisco reloading or rebuilding? Do they know? Should they know? If the pick is a player like Armstead — a raw, high upside choice — the answer may be rebuilding.

15. San Francisco 49ers -- Shane Ray, DE/OLB, Missouri: Ray is currently the toughest player to project because of his foot injury. He likely won't need surgery, but the durability concerns could hurt his stock slightly, allowing the 49ers to get excellent value.

If Shane Ray falls to the 49ers, we should be all over that pick.

It's getting more and more likely that either Ray or Gregory will be available at 15 IMO. Gregory may be a better fit if he's there.

15. San Francisco 49ers: Kevin Johnson, Cornerback, Wake Forest
The current 49ers roster is a Frankenstein monster of the depth-chart-dwelling fruits of the last two drafts, a rogue's gallery of Reggie Bush-level free-agent mercenaries, some holdovers who did not leave or retire with the first rush and felt obligated to stick around and Colin Kaepernick, who fills most fans with ambivalence these days. Hold that thought: 49ers Football 2015: Filling Most Fans with Ambivalence! The 49ers should be in "best available athlete" mode, but team chemistry is also likely to be volatile in the wake of the Baalke-Harbaugh revolution. Trent Baalke has reportedly shown a lot of interest in Marcus Peters, but I see Baalke balking at the mercurial Peters in favor of a safer alternative. Johnson joins a cornerback corps that features newcomer Shareece Wright (disappointing Chargers castoff), Chris Cook (failed Vikings prospect, injured much of last year), Tramaine Brock (former starter, missed most of 2013 with toe and hamstring injuries), journeyman Leon McFadden, safety-corner tweener Jimmie Ward, and Marcus Cromartie, because you cannot go wrong grabbing a cornerback named Cromartie. Johnson was a three-year starter at Wake Forest and gets high marks for his intangibles, so he should arrive at camp ready to compete. That's important for the 49ers, who will be plugging so many backups into the lineup that every game may look like the second half of a preseason game. Eureka! That's it: 49ers Football 2015: Every Game is the Second Half of a Preseason Game!

I had a dream I cleaned my room and ate a turkey sandwich, but I woke up hungry and my room was still a mess.

Hahaha, yep.

15. San Francisco 49ers Arik Armstead, DL, Oregon

He may be seen as a project in some corners, but that is a luxury the 49ers can afford numbers-wise on the defensive line, even if Justin Smith does decide to return for a 15th NFL season. More of a run-stuffer than an edge rusher, the ultra-athletic Armstead addresses both need and best player available for the 49ers as an end in their 3-4 defensive scheme.

15. San Francisco 49ers: Vic Beasley, edge defender, Clemson
Beasley is incredibly athletic, but he's undersized and likely will struggle against the run. The 49ers could put him on a path similar to that of Aldon Smith, where he spends his rookie year only rushing the passer and adding bulk.
