Quentin Rollins - Might be that Baalke type of pick as high as 15. His upside is ridiculous but he is greener than grass.

Mike Davis - A favorite of mine to watch these last couple years.

Winston/Mariota/Hundley - Interested in seeing how these 3 QB's perform.

Ben Koyack - Notre Dame fan so interested to see how he fares vs the rest of the position group.

Now if he only knew how to throw the football. If you think Kaepernick has bad touch, man, this guy might have better accuracy shot-putting the football. He's like Logan Thomas from last year, only less able to throw the football accurately and that's saying something. Not a big fan of project QB's that you have to literally teach how to play the position.

Here are mine in no particular order.


Damarious Randall-SS/DB-ASU-Interesting prospect, very similar to Ward in terms of being a smaller, physical safety, hard nosed player that is a very good tackler, can also contribute on special teams.


Garrett Grayson-QB-Colorado State-My favorite QB prospect in this draft, more and more he's being looked at as the 3rd best QB prospect. Confident guy who comes from a pro-style offense, has good mobility but not a "running QB" per se, buys time in the pocket will looking for targets downfield. Not a super strong arm but throws a nice deep ball. Very poised in the pocket and seldom seems to be affected by pressure.

Phillip Dorsett-WR-Miami-Yep, he's the sort of speed merchant that the 49ers need badly, I'm sure all eyes will be on him during the 40 especially. Explosive talent that can really stretch a defense.

Tyler Lockett-WR-Kansas State-Similar to Dorsett in terms of being a quality deep threat. Has drawn comparisons to T.Y. Hilton, a guy who has kind of gone under the radar lately as other players have drawn more hype.

Devin Smith-WR-Ohio State-A guy that like Dorsett will have all eyes on him. Perhaps the best vertical threat in this draft. My only concern is that I don't see him as a 1st round pick due to certain limitations but his explosiveness is not in doubt whatsoever. I can see him being an impressive vertical threat at the next level.

Kevin White-WR-West Virginia. My favorite WR for the 49ers to draft in the 1st round. Interested especially to see how he'll do in the 3 cone drill as well as seeing his jumping ability and the field drills.

Duke Johnson-RB-Miami. My favorite RB prospect for the 49ers. Pure explosiveness, physical for his build, a smart, decisive runner, also a threat to make plays receiving out of the backfield. 49ers could be replacing one talented Miami RB with another.

Quinten Rollins-CB-Miami of Ohio. VERY intriguing prospect, former basketball player, only one season playing DB but has outstanding potential. Raw but has all the tools to be a dominant CB at the NFL level, whether he gets there or not is another question entirely. Has a basketball player's instincts when attacking the football, had 7 INT's this past season, definitely fits the ballhawking defensive back model. Could become a safety or CB at the NFL level.

David Johnson-RB-Northern Iowa. As I mentioned in the thread about him, I love this guy's ability to create an impact as a runner and a receiver. Freakish hands and terrific route running for a RB, good blocker, very well built, a guy that can threaten a defense in a variety of ways, if nothing else a very good third down back.

Ibraheim Campbell-SS-Northwestern. Well built SS type, intelligent and respected leader on the Northwestern defense, had a pretty good Senior Bowl.

VERY curious about Perriman WR -

Damarious Randall? I told you guys at like the start of the season he will be a late rounder

Some thoughts on him as I've seen him play over the years:
-in off season agility/speed tests, Randall and DJ Foster (2016 WR) tested the best
-Randall is a great athlete, very agile, change of direction
-obviously undersized, but he plays physical. Won't make the big hits but will give 110% in tackling
-Extremely aggressive safety. One of those things where you wonder if its coaching or the player. He will jump routes a lot and has some ball hawk in him
-However, I've seen him get abused many times because teams knew he was over aggressive I'd say the 2nd half of his season was mistake filled, lots of mental errors.

good mention on Alex Carter. the guy is real physical and strong.

Definitely Cedric Ogbuehi in the 3rd round if his injury pushes him that far down.

Arm length: 35 7/8", half an inch longer than Aldon Smith's.

Would love to stash him for most of the season, have him compete for a guard spot towards the end of the year, be a backup swing tackle, and eventually take over for Joe Staley at LT. He's raw and needs to add strength, but he's a good athlete and you can't teach absurdly long arms.

Perhaps Cody Fajardo, Kap's backup at Nevada, could be considered as a late round or UDFA developmental QB..
