14 For 14 Top Small School Prospects Charles Tuaau

Tuaau, a native of Hawaii, made a huge impact in his first season with the Division II Lions after transferring from a California junior college

He had 12.5 sacks and 25.5 tackles for loss -- staggering numbers for a nose tackle -- in garnering Lone Star Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors last fall.

Eulls late 3rd rd would be nice
Some mocks are projecting us to take Armstead in the first...production-wise, wouldn't H. Anderson in the third or fourth make a lot more sense?

Thank you!

Was going to post this but you beat me to it.

Terry Williams is a boss. I have him in my mock draft as a fourth round pick.

I have not seen him ranked or listed anywhere. Where the hell did you find this guy? Post some more info on this guy.

Check him out. He's the monster 350lber. He's hard to miss, #54. I follow ECU pretty closely, I have hometown ties there. The man played LB in HS.

This is pulled from the ECU Athletics website:

A sizeable, strong and physical defender who is in a position to elevate a three-year starting assignment at nose tackle into possible national honors candidacy status heading into his senior campaign ... A key battle-tested and well-respected figure in the middle of the Pirates' deep front seven who earned Preseason All-American Athletic Conference selection by both Athlon Sports (first-team) and Phil Steele's College Football Preview Magazine (fourth-team) ... Delivered four tackles, including a sack for a two-yard loss, during the first spring scrimmage on March 31 ... However, suffered a right ankle injury during the latter stages of the contest which sidelined him for the remainder of the workout period ... Has stayed the course on a progressive career enhancement path, both on the field and in the strength and conditioning program ... Added to his power resume during the spring testing period by establishing a new position record in the back squat with a lift of an impressive 775 pounds ... Other notables include unit-bests in the bench press (415 pounds) and power clean (341), a push jerk of 331, a broad jump of 8'4.5", and a pro shuttle time of 4.39 and a L-drill clip of 7.28 ... Accumulated an impressive 283 "pounds of growth" a year earlier as a junior to add enhanced credibility to the aforementioned physical development ... Has played in 27 career contests (12 starts) and will enter senior year with 26 multiple tackle outings.

Here the weigh in results for potential 3-4 defensive linemen from the different all-star games.

I broke them down into nose tackle and defensive ends.

I just ordered the lists by weight.

One note: Charles Tuauu and Xavier Williams came in much heavier than they were listed during the season.

The numbers listed in these tables very well could change with the Combine weigh in.

Would love to trade down in the 2nd and gain more picks and grab Mario Edwards who I think could be a beast with good coaching and jim tomsula can transform him into a solid starter in this league

Buyer beware on Wiiliams. Suspended three teams during tenure at ECU, once drug related. Missed the bowl game this year. My guess is even with all that talent a major slide to the late six or seventh or free agency. I'd give him a 50-50 shot of being drafted
Preston Smith is a guy, who if around in the mid-third is worth a long look. Not explosive, but carries his weight well, is a high effort guy, Has the frame to add 10-15 pounds well. Plays a bunch inside on passing downs.

STRENGTHS: Boasts an impressive wingspan...
consider him drafted.

given your and CBS's opinion respectively, he is lining up as a 1-technique on passing downs. What does it mean for us? would be a useful in nickel formations? good LDE?
Because, I don't think that we are talking about using him at NT, do we?

Terry Williams played in 15 games over the past two years.

He had 2 sacks and 8.5 TFL. His production grade was 0.70---not bad, but not that good.

One of his sacks and three of his TFL game in one game---against Temple last year.

I have him as an UDFA.

for the guys who were attending the Senior Bowl:

All the other guys will be measured at the NFL combine.

I have the Senior Bowl and Shrine Game weigh in numbers.

I have the base stats for almost 60 wide receivers, as many or more defensive backs, some running backs and some 3-4 OLB.

With some of the guys, we will have to depend on pro days.

Waiting on the Combine weigh in. If there any discrepancies, combine numbers rule.

thx!

He is a NT, therefore a troublemaker in the first place as almost every NT in the NFL, imho. Therefore, grading a NT by the stats is not the most appropriate way, if you ask me.
I would look at some tape and hope to see that he was running havoc most of the time. I want the QB to panick from the snap on, I want to see him pulling at least two o-liners on EVERY play and I want to see a solid conditioning, i.e. he is able to play three consecutive snaps.
Good stuff, Buck. It's nice to find a post where we all believe DL should be at the top of Baalke's priorities. I'm high on Eddie Goldman and Malcolm Brown...because they're guys who can play inside and out. Both exceed 300 lbs, but have the quickness to pressure the pocket and the strength to stop the run. Hardison's somewhat of a sleeper...but he had good numbers this last season. Whomever Baalke likes will be a necessary addition to strengthen the DL. I don't get why so many are thinking NT...Tomsula's got plenty of 'em. I think Dorsey wins that job, but both Williams and Dial got plenty of reps in 2014.

No, Smith is going to be a 43 or 34DE that kicks inside on passing downs. Think Seattle's Michael Bennett.
