2015 Draft: Niners trade up scenario's

I'm down for us trading down if the right deal comes along. This draft is some what weak, and I'd like to add more picks for the 2016 draft. We don't HAVE to get an immediate starter out of this draft, because we have plenty of players that will have returned from injury (Willis, Williams, Dorsey, Bowman) or that we drafted last year (Martin, Thomas,). Hopefully Baalke has his guys that he wants, and we're able to trade down a bunch, acquiring future draft picks, and still getting the guy we want in the process.

I think we only need 3-5 players out of this draft, if we get them between rounds 2-4, I think we'll be fine. If there's some draft and stash players worth drafting then I'm game for that, otherwise any additional picks we have, should be traded for 2016 draft picks.

Why not add 6 picks in the top 120. If I was a GM that would be my strategy is to add or have or try to get 6 picks in the top 120 picks. That's how you build rosters & depth and starters and plug & play talent.

Cannot believe I am agreeing with you Elephant man, but this would be my strategy too. Trade with Detroit for their 23rd pick and an additional later rounder, and grab Malcom Brown at 23 (if he is still there).

Here's my dream trade-up scenario:

Niners trade 15, next year's first and Kaepernick to move up to 2 and take Leonard Williams. Starts rookie at QB (Petty or Mannion).

Wow. Your dream is my nightmare. You would really
give up next year's first and Kap for a dlineman and a rookie QB who both looked horrendous for senior bowl. Mannion in particular played himself into UDFA talk. If this actually happened it would be the dumbest thing a GM did in NFL HISTORY

I've been saying this as well. Trade down 5-7 spots and go DL (Malcolm Brown, Arik Armstead or Carl Davis) and pick up an extra 3 rd RD pick.
Take a WR in the 2nd (Devin Smith, Sammie Coates or Breshard Perriman). With the 2 picks in the 3rd RD, go CB and OL.
