Ok. Thought you meant in general it couldn't be done because he'd be on a suspension or something. IDK that I would put anything of the sort past Baalke if he was sold on the player. But the combo of this and injury, other needs and already having a Missouri OLB with off the field decision making/substance abuse issues makes me pretty doubtful he's a target for us.

That being said, if he falls far enough and Baalke thinks a "redshirt" year will take care of both his physical and personal issues and get us a top 10 talent in the 3rd round or later, I don't think he'd hesitate to pull the trigger.

Bringing in another Missou boy for Aldon to hang and smoke with might get us a hometown discount. There's a lot to like with Ray.

It seems if Trent doesn't mind taking a character risk, he could end up with a top 5 player. I think the chances are good that either Ray or Gregory drop to the 15th spot...

He looks smaller than Eric Reid! Not sure he's the right fit in our offense.

THAT is the problem. No one gives a s**t that he smokes herb. It's that he's too stupid to not get caught a couple days before the draft driving around holding.

Dumbass. What is he gong to do once he has way more fame and money? Just finished watching the ESPN piece on how much he's learned from his mistakes. Doesn't seem like it.

Don't give two s**ts that he got high. If he just smoked up and left to go do whatever, this wouldn't be a story. But he did something to attract the cops attention and have them search his vehicle and find enough weed that they weren't going to let it go. Why was he driving around holding two days before the draft?

And this isn't just any kid or just any year. This is a kid with questions about this kind of stuff already who has made a publicity tour about having turned his life around. And it's after the worst publicity year in NFL history where the league got repeated black eyes over off the field player issues. If this kid can't fly right now, when the hell will there be enough pressure and eyes on him that he does?

This may be potentially bad news for the Niners. I think Baalke desperately wants one of the top studs such as Shelton, Waynes, Parker etc to fall to us. Now that both Gregory and Ray will no doubt drop, it diminishes our chances a bit more that one of these guys falls thru the cracks.

Lucky break for whoever would've drafted this guy anyway based on desperation; now they'll probably get him lower. With the foot injury and now a pattern of dumb behavior, he might even drop to the end of the 2nd round now. Maybe even the 3rd.
