sorry but Miller was a FB from the first day on. Contrary to that, Boone is in his, what, 3rd year at RG here? Staley is an all-pro at LT for several years. Now, you come up with the idea to mix up the o-line just because Boone is more natural at OT?
Sorry but I do trust our coaches who thought that a)Miller should play at FB and b)Staley should stay at LT and Boone is a good RG.
Miller was a defensive player in college. Boone was all Big Ten in college, Davis was an excellent OG in college. Boone was turned into a guard in the words of Harbaugh at the time, "we want the best players on the field." They already had Davis and Staley as two of the most stable parts of the line so wanted to stablize the RG position. What if Boone would make a great OT rather than a "good RG?" Did you like the way Davis played this year? I would like a better option should Davis or Boone be injured...if they are interchangeable that would be a good thing...just as in the 80s the OL should be very position flexible.
You trust our coaches who taught our OL that run blocking was important but pass blocking was optional? Of course, those coaches aren't likely to be here.

we already have a great OT in Joe Staley. who is a proven LT. If at all, then swap Davis and Boone. Staley stays where he is.
