Plus, I have no faith in Al Golden to improve Miami .

I am becoming a little torn here, I started out being quite high on Duke Johnson, but I am swaying more towards Melvin Gordon now and I will tell you why.

The Seahawks will be drafting for Marshawn Lynch replacement, Bleacher Report has them picking Todd Gurley. Why ? Simple, cos they want a big dude that is hard to stop. Actually, I am OK with that cos I don't want to take another risk on an ACL player again. However, there is no guarantee they will pick Gurley and I am pretty sure if they didn't pick Gurley, it would be Gordon. I can't see them going outside of these 2 choices. That is Pete Carroll's MO. He always goes for big power backs. Just look at their RB corps, Lynch 215 lbs, Turbin 222 lbs and Michael 221 lbs.

To hang with the Seahawks, you really have to have a physical team. Everytime we play them we always end up with a truckload of injuries. I love Carlos Hyde for that exact reason, the dude is a battling ram. But, that is not enough. I just think Melvin Gordon is a bigger (213 lbs) and more physical runner than Duke Johnson.

No doubt a Carlos Hyde/Duke Johnson RB tandem would be cool, but just think about a Carlos Hyde/Melvin Gordon tandem, that would be one heck of a force to be reckoned with.

You're right, but a first round pick? And are you willing to pass over a starting caliber receiver?

Are you sure Melvin Gordon will be a 1st rounder ? I think unless Todd Gurley falls, I doubt 2 RBs will be taken in the 1st.

My favorite RB in this draft, I really hope Baalke drafts this kid. I'd love to see Gore and Johnson together.

Yeah, Seattle ain't passing on him at 30-32 and there are plenty of other teams that really need a dominant back too. hopefully one of them picks up AP instead though.

I don't doubt Melvin Gordon will be a 1st round pick, he has ALL the tools you look for in a starting RB in the NFL. He's like a quicker version of Eddy Lacy. IMO

Duke Johnson really runs a lot like Frank Gore. His main strength is his vision and quick feet. He may get caught from behind but that's only after he made someone miss a tackle in the hole.

He has a surprising amount of physicality at times too.

This is our guy IMO. Let's us pick a WR and DL in the first two rounds, doesn't totally make Hyde a wasted pick, and provides us with a lethal returner.

Agreed, only Johnson is much faster, he's got a second gear in the open field.

Well, Gore used to have that before the 2 torn ACL's too.

Yah no kidding, he was even more of a beast before that, there's a reason Willis McGahee was backing him up.

I'm gonna be pissed if Baalke passes up Duke Johnson.

Looks exciting; but we already have Kendall Hunter

Coming off of injury though. You can't hang your hat on that. We'll need another RB in this draft. Duke Johnson is a real possibility.
