USC CB Josh Shaw

One of my favorite prospects this year and his character just made me like him more

USC CB Josh Shaw jumps from second floor balcony to save drowning nephew. Kid is ok, Shaw has two high ankle sprains. http://t.co/7lAHbAzQ8c
Big ups to Josh. Sucks for him to not be able to play, but a nephew's life is more important than a game.

Kid has a good head on his shoulders.

quote from Shaw

"I would do it again for whatever kid it was, it did not have to be my nephew," Shaw said, according to the release. "My ankles really hurt, but I am lucky to be surrounded by the best trainers and doctors in the world. I am taking my rehab one day at a time, and I hope to be back on the field as soon as possible."

Had he torn an ACL, he'd be a lock for us. But ankle sprains, I'm not so sure.

But seriously, very much respect to the kid, risking himself to save his nephew. Hope he heals well and wish nothing but good things to happen to him.
First class all the way!

Proud he's a Trojan. Guy's been class his entire career.
Damn, that is crazy! Good for him.

Godspeed to him healing those ankles, I want to see him on the field!
Would someone actually make up a story like this? Reports from USC indicate there are conflicting accounts of how Shaw injured his ankle.

A day later, USC head coach Steve Sarkisian says there may be conflicting information regarding how the injury to Shaw's ankles were suffered.

Sark: "Within the last few hours we've gotten phone calls contradicting what Josh said occurred Saturday night and we're going to vet it."

Lol, you just brought me back to the Hater awards sketch on the Dave Chepelle show.
Josh Shaw draft status will be affected if he lied another Te'O Hoax which I hope is not the case
Drunk and jumped off the roof?
The current details don't pass the smell test.

I get that a feel-good story is nice, but....
