What do Mike Evans, Kelvin Benjamin and Mike Williams (WR USC 2005 draft) have in common?

They are all huge, slow, awkward-moving WRs Heisman-trophy-winning QBs made to look like great WRs.

Pass.

Mike Evans made Johny Football look good! There isn't anything awkward about him...the other 2 I agree with.
Not saying I agree with this post at all but EVERY YEAR people always say this is the deepest draft in recent memory.
I believe mayock deepest draft I'm a decade

What do Dez Bryant, AJ Green and Mike Evans all have in common? They all ran 4.5 forties at the draft.

Dez Bryant didn't even run the 40 at the combine. You can't compare non-combine times to combine times. And AJ Green, who had half a tenth on Evans & .02 fater 10-yard split, is one of the most graceful WRs the NFL will ever see. Evans is herky-jerky & awkward moving.

There's more to being fast / quick than a 40 time. Evans' game is all about pushing off and reaching past / over CBs. He won't get away with that at the pro level. Not to say he'll be Johnathan Baldwin, but he's not going to be Dez Bryant or AJ Green. Not even close.

Absolutely. I would rather trade back 8-10 slots, pick up an early 2nd round pick for 2015 and then draft Stephen Tuitt for our DL. We could then use our two 2nd round picks to draft a talented WR and CB, have 3 more picks in the 3rd round where we could look for an OL, a saftey, a 2nd CB or 2nd WR and another pick in the 4th round for a 2nd CB or WR or possibly a PR/KR like Dri Archer. By the time the 5th round pick comes there will probably be some talented players that have fallen to us or we could select a pup list guy like Aaron Colvin.

We could end up with a lot of talent in this draft. It is widely accepted that the greatest draft in 49er history is the one where Bill Walsh traded back and stock piled a lot of picks in I think 86. This draft could set us up for years to come like that one did.

Some people think only 1st rd picks can really make an impact on the team and the rest are just depth. Tell that to our QB Kap. Or RB Gore. How about LB's Brooks and Bowman? DL McDonald or CB Brock. They are all big time players and only Kap was a 2nd rounder and the rest 3rd rounders or later. That doesn't include all the other players that contribute that were taken later in the draft like our other 3 RB's , FB, 2 starters on the O-line, Tank Carradine coming in this season on the DL, WR's Boldin and Patton, ect.....

Gore is our best RB of all time and he was a 3rd rd pick. So was Joe Montana the best QB of all time. Enough said.

This is a valid scenario, but a bit impractical. As much as I'd like more volume and more picks like the '86 draft. In '86 we had a lot of holes to fill and Walsh had to do what he had to do to replenish the talent pool. We were 2 years removed from a super bowl win and a lot of our stars were aging by then.

Contrast that with today where only Boldin and Justin Smith are significantly over 30. This is a very young team in a lot of ways and while I'd love to have something like 3 Wrs picked in the 3rd round, how many of them will realistically make the team vs Patton, Crabs, Anquan and Lloyd? I think the better option will be trading up and getting some top flight players at a position of need, and then possibly trading down the latter half of the draft for next years picks.

Thank you! So tired of hearing this s**t every year.
Niners should trade up for Mike Evans. That guy is going to be the next Jimmy Graham, but as a receiver. He will own any Seattle DB. Guys is tall and physical.
Trade for Suh

Watch the tape of Mike Evans and you will ALWAYS see that he lines up on the SAME side of the field..Red Flag Alert!

trading our entire draft for 2 players makes no sense. this is one of the deepest drafts in memory. Just because this roster is stacked and really only needs immediate attention at 2 positions (WR, CB) the draft is a tool that keeps great teams great. This is a great opportunity to get what we need now and still build for the future. It won't be very long before we need see turnover at positions like RB, DE, OG, SS, K etc. we need to get out there and continue to build depth across the board and find future starters.

agreed
