I like Gilbert, but I wouldn't want to trade up that far to get him. I'd make that trade if it was for Sammy Watkins and he was somehow still there, but not for Gilbert. I just think that there will be other corners like Joyner, Robey, Verrett, and Baptiste who we can get later that will also be very good corners. Also, I'd prefer two wide receivers early.

I really like gilbert..i think its a toss up who will be the better corner in the draft..gilbert or dennerd but both I think will be stars..and I was going to take 2 recievers but the signing of britt and patton being healthy..and i think there is no way Watkins gets anywhere close to 15th..not even 10th..

Interesting draft. If we can free up enough cap space to resign both Boldin and Whitner along with extending Kap and Crabtree and Aldon Smith could be great.
We just don't know how the 49ers feel about the center position. Do they want to go forward with Kilgore as the starter or do they want an upgrade?

Pretty nice. Really like the Boykin trade, just not sure PHI would do it. Not too enthused about a G in 2nd, but probably could use an insurance policy if Iupati walks.

Yeah that's why I said if he was somehow there. He is the only guy I would trade that far up for. And I wouldn't be a big fan of Britt. We already have a similar but much better receiver in Crabtree, who isn't a headcase. We need explosive guys.
Like the Martavis bryant and Kareem martin picks though.

A lot of good moves and picks.
Trading LMJ for Boykin would be a solid move.
Agree, Kilgore will be the starting Center.
Like the resigns and Wilhoite is a real good football player. Keep Wilhoite and Skuta. Let Tuk walk like an Egyptian.
If Britt could get his head on right he's be a fantastic pick up.
I don't think the Gilbert thing is realistic but you never know. Personally I really like Baptiste and Verret.
Gabe Jackson would be a perfect guy to replace Iupati. He is one mean badass. I feel Iupati is starting to het that point in his career where the injuries will keep coming. Too bad, I really liked his game.
Love the Bryant pick - too bad we don't have the WR coaches to take him to the next level.

Why do you think the Gilbert trade isn't realistic...? Do you think he will go higher..? Last year the niners traded there 31st overall and a third that was a lower third that we have this year for the 18th overall pick..

Pretty solid. I don't think Whitner or any player stays here when he can get more money elsewhere. No way Boldin signs a one year deal. Gonna have to give him 2 or he'll be gone. The trade for Boykin really make no sense. Why would the Eagles give one of their promising corners for a 3rd string running back? They could just draft a guy late for that. Draft is solid. I would trade up for Gilbert. Probably would go BPA with that 2nd round pick over Jackson. Maybe Beckham or Landry. Use that next pick on a C/G

I like this.
Out of those 2 players I would get rid of Skuta and Tukuafu. We might need Wilhoite until Bow is 100%.

You would get rid of Skuta??????? Skuta played fantastic when Aldon was out and is a very good rotational LB who can play all 4 spots and is excellent on STs AND he doesn't make a lot of $$, this is the newbiest comments ever.

Philly isn't getting rid of Boykin. If he was a few inches taller, he would've been a 1st round pick and possibly a future pro Bowler. He's all over the field and has good ball skills.

Skuta really played well last year. He ended up being a steal.

u dont think lmj will end upthe number 2 rb over Bryce brown..? especially since Kelly knows how to use him and the fact that lmj could step right in and kno the offense..? I think lmj with the eagles would be a nightmare for other teams..but I do agree that it would be tought to get boykin away from them..id give a 3rd and lmj to get it done..i just feel boykin is great in the slot and that is what we need to guard the young small fast wrs in our division..
