Brandin Cooks- WR, Oregon St.

I see Cooks as a perfect fit for Philly if they do indeed dump Jackson. I'm pretty sure Chip is popping a woody at the thought of adding Cooks and Sproles to Shady, Cooper, Foles and a returning Maclin.

Yeah, TY Hilton clearly couldn't hang. People need to get over this mindset that to play against physical corners you need big physical receivers. You need receivers who can run faster than those corners, move better laterally and go where they can't, simple as that. Hard to lay a hand on a guy who makes you whiff right off the line.

My favorite Brandin Cooks gif to prove your point. Going against the biggest, most physical CB in the draft (McGill):

and what did Balke say after that?
Superbowl???!! Superbowl !?? Dont talk about that Superbowl !!!!
While I'm not on the bandwagon, I do like what this kid can do.
But I must admit his size does scare me.
Yes Steve smith is 5'9 but dude is yoked out!
Which I don't see that in Cooks

Don't forget
Golden Tate
Antonio Brown
Wes Welker
Cecil Shorts
Emmanuel Sanders
Ty Hilton, A Brown and d Jackson are the exception
Taint is 200 lbs
Wes Welker is like Steve smith
Sanders is meh at best
Shorts has been injured a lot because of his size
Tavon struggled with injuries this year

I didn't say it was a death sentence, just that it scares me
Hell Harvin is a great player, but he's hurt a lot too

I think Cooks can be an exception, it all depends on how Roman uses him if we draft him
I don't like Roman so i'm going to be negative and assume we don't give the guy a look
Dear 6lb 8oz baby Jesus please allow cooks to be drafted by the Niners! In all seriousness this man is a monster and was very productive in a legit conference! The production against me other top competition is a factor that can not be ignored, we need a receiver that can take the top off. Sherman was not nearly effective against the smaller quick receivers we need a receiver who is as fast or faster than our TE.
I see no scenario where Baalke would take Cooks at #30...why? Because Crabtree's future w/Niners is questionable...Boldin's only signed for 2 yrs. Now's the time to draft their replacements...Matthews, Moncrief, Adams and others should be prime candidates. That's not to say TB won't get a smaller speed guy, but as a complimentary WR, not a primary. My guess: Baalke takes Matthews early and Herron later. Next year he drafts another bigger WR to replace Boldin.
first off, the guy is 5'10'', 190 lbs. he's pretty physical for someone considered "small" by some of you.

Thank you !

He is short not small. Something that many people tend to mix up.
16 Reps on the bench same amount as Watkins, just saying. I don't think he will be there at #30, but just imagine throwing him a quick slant with our WR's blocking down field
