2014 NFL Combine

Joe Don Duncan of Dixie State so far reminding me A LOT of Vance McDonald.

6'3", 268, huge hands, did 35 reps on the bench press. Another talented smaller-school receiving TE who will draw some attention due to his Combine numbers.



Tyler Larsen, one of my favorite center prospects did 36 reps on the bench press at 6'4" and 313.

When you look at heights I think its better to look for sites that include 8ths of inch.

A height of 6.013 would be 6 feet 1 3/38 inches.

Here's another example of analysis that looked at top receivers across multiple previous drafts. Obviously this doesn't apply to all, Boldin is a prime example when it comes to 40 time, but as a good rule of thumb these qualifications have been shown to be fairly reliable.

In order to be a top 25 WR, the numbers show you should meet the following: Height – At least 71" (5'11") Size – At least 2.6 pounds per inch Hand Size – At least 9" 40 yard dash – Under 4.58 seconds Vertical Leap – At least 32" Broad Jump – At least 120" (10 feet) 20 yard shuttle – Under 4.4 seconds 3 cone drill – Under 7.1 seconds

9 1/8 isn't small, basically average sized hands for a wide receiver.

This is a good thing. You don't want him looking too good for other teams. He's been my draft crush all year. The worse he looks the better.

Kelvin Benjamin:
Height: 6'5"; Weight: 240; Arm Length: 34 7/8"; Hand Size: 10 1/4"

I'm not suggesting Benjamin will be anywhere near as good as Megatron and he definitely won't match his 40 and vertical, but he's the same size with longer arms and much bigger hands. I think at this point it's safe to say we would need to trade up to get him. That could change if he runs a 4.7, but right now I think Watkins, Evans, and Benjamin go top 3 followed by Beckham and then Lee given Beckham is more explosive with way bigger hands and is not much smaller.

240 for benjamin is concerning--didnt he balloon up to 260 as a freshman
