We do have a TON of DBs. "drafting ahead of need" is why we all thought we'd target more, but we could always just cross that bridge when we get to it.
One thing seems obvious: The FO believes the secondary problems were more the lack of pass rush than poor performance by the DBs. Hence the heavy emphasis on front 7 guys who can put pressure on the QB. Whether they have solved the problem or not, I agree with the approach. I'm sure Baalke will be glad to hear I approve.
This. I think too many people in the zone were getting caught up in the media thinking it was the DBs. They were playing ridiculously good for most of the season
I think there is a good chance the Niners target CB very high next year.
