Dwight Jones will be a 1st round pick, why?? Because the 49ers will draft him.

To recall: the league only lists it as a "drop" when it is 100% the receivers fault. Barely reachable balls are not considered drops. The standard is not a circus Megatron catch. It is what the average NFL receiver would be able to do with the throw.

Guy appears to be something of a dick. That being said, don't see why it should impact on his draft status.

we're not going to turn this into an Alex thread are we?
He's not a 1st rounder, but if you're talking about picks 28-32 of the draft, then you have to consider it, it's not about how many WR's are better than him in this draft, is about how many WR's LIKE HIM are better than him, and the list goes:
Jeffery
Floyd
Jones/Toon
IMO

I agree with that list, but I would also put Fuller back on it after his bowl game.

Seriously, as long as the guy is not going around breaking the law, or causing friction with coaches or teammates, or not being prepared for football, then I don't care about the extracurricular.
agreed he's just a young person who did something silly.

It's just as likely one of his friends did something silly and he's paying the price.Originally posted by LBSI9ers:Originally posted by MadDog49er:Another humble NFL WR....who knew?

Didn't separate himself from the other receivers at the Senior Bowl. Had one decent practice and disappeared the whole week. Disappointing. Could drop to the 3rd.

Big week for this kid. Senior Bowl didn't help, but he has a second chance at the Combine. If he puts up good workout numbers and doesn't screw up his interviews, he could still be a solid day 2 pick in the draft (2nd or 3rd round). He is now in the mosh pit of all the big WR's like Streeter, Hill, Jeffrey, and Sanu who could end up on the Niners next year.

Showed up at the Combine weighing 230 lbs while Alshon Jeffrey dropped a bunch of weight to weigh in at 216 lbs. Strike two so far this offseason. He better look good on the field or the free fall down draft boards will continue.........

Love the sarcasm. Then again, maybe you're right.
