Incorrect.

Gilbert was still on the board when the Bears picked, so whatever happened before has no relevance to me or the Bears. You guys figure out how to fix whatever happened earlier, but Gilbert belongs to the Bears.

Ghost...Jimmy wanted to draft Marcus Gilbert, but was a little late - and then someone else made the pick for the Ravens. Before you picked, Jimmy came on the board and posted that he wanted Gilbert all along.

I was in the process of fixing it when you made your selection. I'd request you to change your selection, I'll really appreciate that. Thanks.

Gilbert was officially still on the board when the Bears picked. Just because a GM "wanted" someone doesn't mean he can have him, especially if someone already picked for him. If he didn't show up in the alloted time, it's too bad. Someone picked for him. It was a bad pick, but a pick nonetheless.

I'm not changing my pick. The Bears selected Gilbert because he was still on the board, and that's the way it is.

Ghost.. did someone take over your body and turn you from the normally reasonable guy into someone taking this a bit too seriously?

Ghost, Gilbert wasn't on the board. It was decided before your pick that Gilbert is being swapped for Foster for the Ravens. Refer to the few posts before your selection.

Seriously Ghost. It's not like Gilbert is a huge steal who miraculously fell to your pick and it's not like you made your pick, then he randomly came back and tried to change his. Also, the front page board isn't always up to date, so whoever is on the board is whoever communist (the commish) says is prior to your pick and he had given the pick to ninerjohn prior to you making your selection). I understand your point, but please be reasonable here, it's all in fun.
It's the principal of the matter. The Foster pick was made, but it wasn't what the GM wanted. I feel bad for the guy, but he should've been available to make his own selection within the time allowed. He wasn't, so someone else picked for him. I don't get why people are upset with me when I'm simply following the rules as they were written.

But if you guys insist on it, then go ahead and give him Gilbert. I think it's f**ked up, but do what you feel you need to do.

shocked? surprised? who the hell cares steve smith is as good as done, the remaining WRs are good but they are not WR1 material and AJ Green is too good to pass up whereas gabbert and newton are overrated, imo (going 1st ovr).
i know that there is no FA right now and that the panthers could need a QB with a strong arm if they wanna play in aN air coryell. but they wont be much better anyway next year (i.e. i see them drafting in the top10, if not in the top5 where they could fill their QB-need).
dareus is another possibility b/c they simply dont have an interior d-line...but you can find adequate DTs in the lower rounds...

Ghost, I understand where you're coming from. It was just not updated on the 1st OP, but it was decided that Gilbert with go the Ravens, just a few posts before you made your selection. If that wasn't the case, we'd not be discussing it, and you'd free to draft Gilbert. I was going to change the OP but was busy with some errands.

AJ Green being drafted first overall is about as probable of happening as Cam Newton becoming a legitimate starting NFL quarterback; 0.
Have we all made a decision on this pick? We still have over a full round to go and need to pick up the pace if we want to complete 3 rounds before the actual draft. Let's not let this hiccup ruin the entire draft.
Someone should take on my division for the remainder of the draft.

Swap picks between Baltimore n Chicago. Give GOFD Gilbert and ill just pick again for Balti n Pitt. We can forget about this bump. Which imho I started. My bad. I got both picks rady to be made.

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez Ghost. It isnt THAT big of a deal is it?????????
Really? Are we still on this?

Who gives a rat's ass? Ghost, I'm really surprised you're this serious about it when it was obviously discussed before your pick. But Jimmy is cool with another solution, so let's just move on.

Again, the fun of a mock is DOING the mock, not waiting for people to make picks. The real draft has enough of that over-inflated drama. This is just a fun exercise.

If it's going to be this much drama, we should just call it after round 2, it's not worth the BS if people are going to get this butthurt about minor details.

The real draft is 48 hours away, whatever we are going to do, we need to do it quickly.
