Alrighty then, I decided to see if I could come up with a trade mock and include some of Fangio's main keys to his D at Stanford that he could use here at 49erland. Without further adieu: 1 Car Fairley Perfect fit for their porous run D. Great penetrator in the Sapp mold. 2 Den Peterson Just too good to pass up especially in an area of need. Gives them excellent value as a top-notch return specialist. 3 Buf Dareus Between he and Gabbert, but Dareus is too good of a great fit for their 3-4 D. Gailey wants to mold another QB in the later rounds since they are keeping Fitzpatrick as their QB. 4 Cincy Bowers Excellent pass rusher that they need badly. Gabbert and Green given consideration, but Bowers gives them a better prospect in an area of need. 5 AZ Von Miller Frickin’ AZ! They take our chance at the best pass rusher in this year’s class and they fill an area of desperate need. They will pick up a FA QB rather than Gabbert. IMO, the only way this is NOT Miller is if Peterson drops. Then and only then, will Miller drop. In this scenario, AZ gets their new pass rusher and becomes a burr on our backside for years to come. Boo! 6 Clev Green As easy as it gets! Fits perfectly and gives McCoy a great #1 WR. In most years, he would be a top three pick for sure. Cleveland lands the best value so far! Ding Ding Ding! TRADE!!! Minny trades 1st and 2nd to jump to number seven 7 Min Gabbert Minny now grabs its franchise QB before Tenn, Wash and Mia. Given their need for one and the fact that Gabbert is the first QB off the board, they give up their second for him. All three other franchises also wanted him, but offered less. To Minny, they feel they get a steal since he dropped by Buf, AZ and SF is willing to allow him to be taken by someone else. Lucky for us, it was a great move by Baalke. 8 Tenn Quinn They thought about Newton for a moment and then they went back to the pass rusher they have been missing for some time. Quinn easily steps in from day one. 9 Dal Solder Given their deep need at OT, I see them taking Solder. He was already considered a first round prospect and the SB and Combine will inch him further up the boards. I can even see Costanzo here, but they take the better upside with Solder. 10 Wash Newton They thank their luck stars as Shanny now gets a QB to mold into the WCO. He can sit Cam for two years so he can learn the system well. In the meantime, Shanny will use Grossman and cut McNabb. 11 Hou A. Smith Wade needs a WILL and finds him in Smith. Climbing up boards, he finds a home with Wade who sticks him in to his 3-4 from day one. 12 SF Amukamara Baalke went with his gut on this one with Harbaugh's blessing. Quinn or Amukamara would be the choice at #7, but Minny offered too fat of an offer to refuse as their #1 prospect was still on the board at the time. Therefore, the trade to land Gabbert sent us their #43 pick and as Baalke expected, Prince drops to us at #12!! What a steal! The only place I can see Prince landing in the 8-11 slot would be at #9 with Dallas. Other than that, I really can see Prince drop because of both Newton and Gabbert in the top 10. Hey, it could. The rest of the first round: 13 Det J. Smith 14 StL Jones 15 Mia Jordan 16 Jax Kerrigan 17 NE T. Smith 18 SD Carimi 19 NYG Castonzo 20 TB Ayers 21 KC Pouncey 22 Ind Sherrod 23 Phi Harris 24 NO Watt 25 Sea Locker 26 Bal Moore 27 Atl Rudolph 28 NE Ingram 29 Chi Heyward 30 NYJ Taylor 31 Pit Wilkerson 32 GB Williams Six rounds: Rd1 Prince Amukamara, CB Our Lockdown #1 CB, stick him in and call it day. Day one starter Rd2 Colin Kapernick, QB I too believe his stock is climbing very high with too much upside not to grab in the second. Harbaugh's project will be ready for unveiling in 2012-2013. He will jump into the second after his Combine and Pro Days especially given how dang fast he is on his feet, his arm strength, accuracy and moxie. Yes, we will be getting a FA WCO QB in McNabb, Hasselbeck or even Alex Smith who is not the one I want. Whether you like it or not, any of these three would be great stop gaps until Kap is ready. Rd2 Brooks Reed, DE/OLB He’s jumped up the boards with his great practices and game at the Senior Bowl. Once considered a fourth rounder, his non-stop motor, excellent coverage, and containment of the edge with ease drives him up. His frame is perfect for the role of 3-4 OLB AND he's got a variety of pass rush moves. He, too, will jump from the third after the Combine. He will compete with LaBoy, Gibson and Haralson for the starting job. At the very least, great rotation like last year, keeping them fresh! Rd3 Sione Fua, NT I see him in that 3-4 round range. However, he's perfect for Fangio's D AND he could come in as a rookie and play because he already knows the system. There wouldn’t be a learning curve for one of the most important positions in Fangio’s D. If Franklin bolts, this is almost a no brainer. He can gain an extra 10-15 pounds before the season starts. He too benefited from a solid week at the Senior Bowl. I love the way he slices into the backfield while still handing a double team. Rd4a James Carpenter, OG/OT He may be gone by this point, but for now he’s a fourth rounder. He showed versatility at the Senior Bowl against Kerrigan at LOT, but can play both OG spots. Let him compete against Rachal, Wragge and Snyder for the ROG spot. If nothing else, more depth for our OL. Rd4b Richard Sherman, CB/FS He too knows Fangio’s system well and plays STs. He can come in and provide solid depth while competing against some of the older Vets for backup role. Give him a year, and he could overtake Spencer. We need another CB in this draft, IMO. Rd5 Thomas Keiser, DE/OLB At 6-5, 252, he can provide depth at OLB for Fangio’s D plus he’s already done it. He, in the meantime, can provide great ST play. Was either he or Steven Friday of V-Tech, yet Keiser provides a resource already familiar with the scheme. Rd6 Henry Hynoski, FB At 260, this kid’s a wrecking ball with hands. He’s our new “Rathman”. He would provide an upgrade over the aging Morris with a bigger body and better pass catching ability. He, too, would start from day one. I think though when it's said and done, he'll be a fourth or fifth rounder. For now, he's ours in the sixth. There you have it! Eh, it's a mock.

Emmitt smith part 2... I just don't like his lack of production. I think he's got great balance, and under rated speed. But if we keep westbrooke i really don't think he's a need, Gore would be calling jim and start b***hing at him on the phone!

That's just it "an offer that is just too good to pass up" says it all. The only way is for someone to give us their second and first for our first, period. QBs are a very high premium and if both Gabbert and Newton are there after #6, the calls will be coming in because they think they would have to pry away one of these two from Harbaugh.

Really, that is the only way Baalke does it, it's gotta be rich.

Hey dude! Emmitt Smith is likes to gave the son that was Mark Ingram. Mark Ingram was injured last year and missed the season when i am happy because he is drop the rate down. I believe in him when he will be good health likes Sam Bradford. If we grab him and help for our team. Mark Ingram will work hard and gain his body like power. I believe so much. Gore is not smart to play the football because he don't know how wins games.

In this mock, Jimmy Smith may replace Amukamara if Dallas goes with him which is a very plausible scenario. Still, I find it interesting that SI feels as both Kap and Brooks Reed are second rounders, like I do...like that means anything, right.

Anyway, a Jimmy Smith (I believe he will be a top 15 pick), Brooks Reed and Collin Kaepernick draft would be extraordinary as the first three picks. The first two can start immediately and Harbaugh can take his time with Kap, molding him into the franchise QB we need.

I love the mock Tico! I for one definitely think Kap and Reed will sneak into the second round (if Kap performs as well as he's expected to at the combine and pro day, etc.)

I don't really mind missing out on Gabbert in this scenario. 1. He's a project just like every other QB in this draft. I think his ceiling is very high, but I don't think his floor is as high as I'd like to see from a top 10 QB. 2. He's a junior, and underclassmen QB's don't have a very good track record.

I'll take Kap who is 1. a senior 2. extremely smart (reportedly scoring a 38 on the wonderlic) 3. a very hard worker from all reports and 4. has the second highest ceiling in the entire draft (behind Cam Newton; though I think Cam's floor is LOWER)!!!

I will concede that I think Kap's floor is lower than Gabbert's, but that's why he's gonna go in the 2nd and not the 1st.

Anyways, I think you have a real winner here!

I like prince at this spot #7 is too high for him in my opinion. So I would b fine getting him here. However you have him as a lockdown/shut down corner. I disagree with this. I think he is a good CB but not a lockdown corner. He got beat deep too many times by average recievers this year to b called a lockdown Cb.
