This thread is long overdue! Stole this idea from Superbowl09, who did it last year. http://www.49erswebzone.com/forum/thread.php?num=136770 We can try to go the whole 7 rounds like last year! So basically, anyone can participate, you just make the pick and provide an explanation for the pick. Only rule is that you have to allow 3 picks to be made before you can pick again. I'll start it off... The Carolina Panthers select: Nick Fairley, DT, Auburn With Luck staying in school, there isn't really a consensus #1 pick. However, the Panthers and their new defensive minded head coach, Ron Rivera, decide to go defense here. While some may argue that Patrick Peterson is the most talented defensive player in this draft, I can't see them taking a DB with the 1st pick. I'm thinking the Niners need to choose between o-line depth, a developmental TE or another DB with these last two picks...but that's me.
