Yay Area's Mid Season Mock Draft

R1 - Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah; At 6'6'', 300 lbs, he is a little lighter and leaner than preferred, but he is an elite athlete, and is assignment sound. He thrives as a puller and on reach blocks, but he also a very good pass blocker as well with excellent mirroring ability and flexibility.
R2 - Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas; Prototypical size at 6'7", 312 lbs, and is a solid athlete that moves really well but needs additional strength and development.
R3 - Zakee Wheatley, S, Penn State - Great athlete with excellent coverage skills, lots of experience playing as a single high safety, physicality and tacking ability have improved every year.
R4 (Bryce Huff trade) - Chase Bisontis, OG, Texas A&M. Another prototypical sized lineman at 6'5'', 315 lbs. Solid athlete. Wingspan and arm length are lacking but he shows great strength and power.
R4 (Comp) - Zachariah Branch, WR, Georgia. Small, but dynamic athlete, at 5'10'', 180 lbs. He is an explosive playmaker, that excels in the open field. He has grown from being a gadget player, lining up all over the field at USC to more of a complete receiver at Georgia.
R4 (Comp) - Mikail Kamara, DE/LB, Indiana. Undersized at 6'1'', 260 lbs but is one of the most polished and disruptive speed rushers in the draft.
R4 (Comp) - Eli Stowers, TE, Vanderbilt. Arguably the best pass-catching tight end in the draft. He is great athlete, and a smooth-moving route runner. Not much of a blocker.
R7 - Hezekiah Masses, CB, California. Good size at 6'1″, 185 pounds. He isn't the fastest, but his size and length allow him to be really sticky in man coverage. He is very aggresive and competitive at the catch point. Really good ball skills. This season he is tied for the lead across all college football in interceptions with five.

Good picks to fill holes of need. No where near what the 49ers will do. DE again in round 1. Goosby is good but not ready for the nfl. Good 3rd safety. 4th rd picks are undersized tweeners. Oscar delp is my choice at te. Good first draft not knowing if aiyuk and Mac Jones will be traded. Trent will very likely be traded to Houston or retire after this season.

That would be crazy. Why would he be traded to Houston? We keep hearing he's going to retire when he's stated his position on this, so why are you saying this?

As for DE, we are lacking now solely due to injury. It would be a waste to go DE in round 1. We have Bosa and Mykel Williams is a legit starter. We have Huff as as a designated pass rusher. One could say they need to add another seeing as Huff is in the final year of his deal, but they could extend him or hold off on replacing until 2027. I doubt they go four OL, but personally I love the motivation behind this mock draft.

Now that we are in the stretch run, the uncertainty at WR and need for more pass rush makes it unlikely they will go back-to-back OL.
We aren't drafting two tackles in rounds 1-2

We just signed McKivitz to 15 mil a year and Trent Williams is still playing at a high level and will probably play his contract out.
If Trent does retire we arent picking an OT. Its been abundently clear the FO doesnt want to spend a first round pick on a player who will only get snaps if there is an injury if Trent stays i doubt we go OT. Also this is a bit of a weak OT class

LG and C is a different story. but i see us going WR or DL

This is good but we are secure at guard. Burford was great at lg. puni had a sophomore slump. It's mccivitz and brendle that need to go badly. Kyle's driving me nuts thinking they are good. Miccivits is our worst pass pro and run blocking o lineman. Easiest to upgrade. Brindle gets negative push.

In what world was Burford great?
