1.11- Derrick Harmon, DL- Oregon
6'4, 315

-Explosive 3T. Destroys double teams and wrecks one on ones. 39 pressures this last year. Instant starter who team will have to scheme away from. Put him next to Bosa to take on double teams freeing up Bosa with 1 on 1's. Let him attack gaps on passing downs and create pressures all game long.

2.43- Landon Jackson, DE- Arkansas
6'6, 265

-Elite run defender. Rangy and nonstop motor. He has improved every year. Day 1 starter and elite edge setter. The pass rush plan will come by year 2 and he will be a force.

3.75- Demetrius Knight, LB- South Carolina
6'2, 235

-Instinctive, sideline to sideline range. Big, tough and physical. Character, field dementor, leader.

3.100- Alfred Collins, DT- Texas
6'6, 330

-Best run defending DT in the class. 6'5, 330 pound immovable object who will demand a double teams. Instantly upgrades our brutal run D. Offers nothing as a pass rusher but that's not why I want him on this team.

4.113- Jordan Phillips, DT- Maryland
6'2, 315

-20 year old with arguably the most potential among the DT class. Elite explosion and dominant run defender. Not much of a pass rusher yet but when he puts it together he could be a game wrecker.

4.138- Jackson Slater, OG- Sacramento State
6'3, 311

Elite movement skills. Tough and versatile. Small school but elite traits.

5.147- Kyle Williams, WR- Washington St
5'11, 190

Silky smooth, productive and elite deep threat.

Durable, experienced run blocker. Need to get better in pass pro but has the movement skills and awareness to thrive in a zone blocking scheme.

Pass on Harmon, I have seen him struggle against the run in game. If we take a DT that high, he's gotta be a more complete player, not that Harmon sucks, but we need to shore up the run D and he is not good at that. Other than that, and a DB that I haven't checked out, I wouldn't be too mad with it.

Even though I have him in my prediction mock I don't think he is worth being picked that high. Hopefully Niners trade back if he is indeed a target.

I disagree with you that he struggles in the run game.

The 49ers start to rebuild and reinforce their roster with a pick in the trenches," write Yahoo! Draft analysts Nate Tice and Charles McDonald. "Harmon is equally adept at defending the run and pass, and can be asked to fill a variety of roles along the interior. He would be great in the 49ers' heavy use of twists and stunts, and he gives San Francisco a young player to start replenishing its recently tenacious front."

Harmon has the body type and ability to anchor against double teams and defend the run in the 49ers' Wide 9 defense. In addition, he has the athleticism to push the pocket and disrupt the quarterback. He's similar to two former Oregon defensive tackles who had lots of success on the 49ers -- DeForest Buckner and Arik Armstead.

I just see Harmon being a massive overreach at 11. Most mocks I've seen don't have him even coming into the picture until the early twenties. Even though he would be a good player for San Francisco in our wide 9 scheme I would not be happy if they reached that far at the 11th pick for Derek Harmon.

I like it. I'd prefer to go O line earlier (3rd round). But wouldn't hate the draft.

Not going by what anybody else has told me, just telling you what I have seen after watching more than half of his games. His gap discipline is not the greatest, that might be because they tell him to just get after the passer first and foremost. He's a beast of a man, but there are better players that fit our need in my opinion. I went and watched two more games today(Wisconsin and their CFP loss to Ohio State), and that Oregon defense wasn't very good against the run generally, they mostly just relied on that offense. I like Harmon, I like Nolen better, but a trade back and Harmon would be okay if it got us enough of a bonus pick.

For the player SF is going to likely target they are best to trade down assuming someone will trade up. If Campbell or Membou falls to 11 then U take them but the DT's they can draft will be around say picks 15-25.

I'm not as high on Landon Jackson but I like the rest of the draft, including Kyle.

Our defensive line is so depleted and practically non-existent that I would not mind if we went with three defensive tackles in the first three picks. I also would recommend for us to trade down since there are so many potentials for D tackles, offensive lineman, running backs, tight ends, and other positions that we need to pick.

The defensive tackles that I like:

1-Derrick Harmon
2- Tyleik Williams
3-Walter Nolan
4- Jamaree Caldwell
