i really wanted Al-Quadin Muhammad for that speed role, but that ship sailed. Seems like the draft is where they find that guy, round 1 probably.
I would love Joey Bosa but he does seem redundant with what we have.

Cashius Howell would do the trick.

But J Bosa on a 1-yr deal is great for depth so we don't have to reach for an EDGE and go BPA. Can still draft an EDGE in the 1st round even if we signed Bosa.

I would be on board for both of those guys on this team
The push for another DE has a lot to do with all the injuries last year. Keion White will be in his last year and Nick Bosa could go down again. It points to a high end draft pick. The others could end up not being effective as expected. A patchwork veteran guard and a free safety could hold the line for a year and be addressed later. The guard points to Bitonio. Effective and never injured.

I agree with all of that. I keep saying we got to sign one of the guards from Cleveland and get a veteran free safety, hopefully some decent ones will be cut after June 1 or released and a young pass rusher that doesn't get injured (like all of ours) in the draft in the first round.

But conversely, I think it could work in their favor since they're so much alike in their play style. Maybe he could just supplant Nick until he's completely 100% ready to play since may not necessarily start the season. Joey could be the starter until the appropriate time and then come in for Nick on certain downs or even series to spell him and vice verse. They could even be bookends on certain plays every now and then. It's a win-win situation.

I can see his point, but I also agree with you too. 49ers were last in sacks and Joey Bosa wouldn't cost that much, why not just bring him in? It's a win-win situation like you said.
I really don't see his point, like you said we need quality pass rushers whether they're redundant or not.

Basically I think what he's saying is we would be getting the same pass rusher. And they don't really complement each other like a speed rusher would.

The Athletic's Dianna Russini reports the Broncos acquired WR Jaylen Waddle, formerly of the Dolphins, in exchange for 2026 first, third, and fourth round draft picks.

The Dolphins had spent the past month halfheartedly denying Waddle was available via trade during the team's tear-down rebuild. The Broncos had to part with premium draft picks to acquire Waddle in a move that boosts the otherwise ordinary Denver receiving room. Waddle, who frequently struggled with injuries, has just 122 receptions for 1,654 yards over the past two seasons in a run-first Miami offense. The trade leaves Tutu Atwell as the Dolphins' top wideout for now. Last year Waddle, 27, averaged 56.9 receiving yards per game, leading the Dolphins with a 41 percent air yards share and a 22 percent target share. In Denver he'll join an offense that last year ranked fourth in pass attempts and 11th in passing yards. While Waddle could emerge as the team's de facto No. 1 wideout, Courtland Sutton could retain that role thanks to his chemistry with Bo Nix

If we don't get a starting FS in the draft, after the draft wouldn't mind trading a 2027 3rd to the Falcons for Jessie Bates III - he is one of the better FS in the league and ATL should be willing to do that since they drafted Xavier Watts last year in the 3rd round and he's now the starter.

Would not be shocked if we did that since we have opened up so much cap room.

I would love Joey Bosa but he does seem redundant with what we have.

The amount of picks this team has thrown at the DL is staggereing. They should probably stop considering how awful that track record is.

That's a great idea! And the fact that Morris is probably close with that defense and personnel he might be able to swing that trade

I hope this is at least on our radar. Sigle just not good enough yet to not give up a lot of big plays

7 picks in the first 5 rounds over 10 years isn't that high. Especially considering 4 of those picks are expected to have a lot of playing time this coming year.

Philly has spend 8 picks and only 3 are expected to contribute this coming year.
Seattle has spent 11 picks and only 3 are expected to contribute this coming year.

Unfortunately, he won't stop to think before commenting again lol

Cheap one year pass rushers
Leonard Floyd
Jadeveon Clowney
Drafting a dpr with speed would also help. Drafting mykel Williams almost feels like a wasted pick. Lots of people on here want Joey bosa or Greenard. Where does that leave mykel Williams, Alfred Collins, and West. Trade for osa and signing Joey bosa would take a good amount of snaps away from last year's rookies. Leonard Floyd would be a good fit to be the dpr role at a good price.
