So Johnny Dell saying how he doesn't like the idea of trying to go for Joey Bosa cause it's like redundant to his brother. But conversely, I think it could work in their favor since they're so much alike in their play style. Maybe he could just supplant Nick until he's completely 100% ready to play since may not necessarily start the season. Joey could be the starter until the appropriate time and then come in for Nick on certain downs or even series to spell him and vice verse. They could even be bookends on certain plays every now and then. It's a win-win situation.

I can see his point, but I also agree with you too. 49ers were last in sacks and Joey Bosa wouldn't cost that much, why not just bring him in? It's a win-win situation like you said.

I really don't see his point, like you said we need quality pass rushers whether they're redundant or not.

Joey Bosa allows us even more flexibility at #27 to not feel like we NEED to go EDGE. If Akheem Mesidor is there and we loved him great draft him but if he is gone no prob draft Cooper Jr, Concepcion, Iheanachor, Blake Miller, Christen Miller, McDonald, Proctor, etc.

Or more ideally trade back to minimally 30 to recoup our 3rd rounder. A trade with DEN at #30 would net us their 3rd rd pick at #94 which replaces the #92 we gave up for Osa.

I like it and we may just do that. I just hope after we address the offensive line and pass rusher we get a veteran safety, hopefully one that is released after June 1 because we need one. That was arguably our worst position last year. I believe safeties gave up 13 touchdowns? That is ridiculous.

Problem is that Joey Bosa hasn't been a very good pass rusher for the last few years

He was the #8 pass rushers according to PFF. I really don't like using PFF, but he wasn't that bad last season.

I rather go with Cam Jordan, hes older but hes still solid. PFF overall has Joey over Cam with 79 v 76 which is minimum. Jordan has 10 sacks(doubled Joey) and almost same amount of pressures compared to Joey. He's also more available in the health compartment. Bosa is usually injured, but has had 2 healthy season and I don't see that happening a 3rd season in a row especially here where we've had injury problems where as Cam has rarely missed games and he'll probably be cheaper.

thats just my 2 cents though.

Just get them both and bring JJ back.
Just all depends on what Joey gets. Small deal to be a rotational pass rusher and its a no brainer. Moderate deal to be a primary end, id prefer to look elsewhere

I would not complain at all if we traded back to 35 and picked AJ Haulcy S from LSU - instant starting FS next to Mustapha and hits like Whitner and can play centerfield as well and make plays.

I would love that. It's too bad the Niners never spend premium draft picks on safeties or offensive lineman. Maybe Raheem Morris will make his case. I wish we could get a veteran safety like J Simmons or that type that is older, cheaper but still good

we're sitting on around $60 M in cap space after the annual adjustment, Bosa restructure and Huff retirement, right? Get Bosa AND Jordan, then focus on BPA in round 1 (as long as BPA is Proctor )

I like this. The idea should be to get as many pass rushers (and maybe a cheap #3 WR) as possible and fill the rest in the draft.

I want a speed edge rusher over J Bosa. Someone to move the QB up in the pocket towards Osa.
