Jonathan Allen to the Bengals

That just sucks.

Why? And his contract was 2/28.

I've always been a fan of Jonathan Allen and even more so when I heard they were gonna trade Deebo for him.

No doubt he was really good in Washington , but his play has dipped . Surprised he got what he got . Not sure what the details are

Trust me, I'm surprised at what he got too. I thought he would get somewhere along the lines of 1 year $10 million.

Valid, he's probably going to be expensive.

However, the Niners offense is so much better with a valid receiving threat. I like Tonges, but I'm not sure he's ready to be the TE1 for extended time while Kittle rehabs.

Worst case scenario, sign Njoku to a 1 year prove it deal?

We should just resign Brian Robinson - he was good in his carries for us and he's not expensive and also makes the 6th rounder we gave up for him not a wasted pick for a rental.

What do we think about this from Ben Solak-

I'd like to see wide recevier Jauan Jennings go to the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens need better secondary pass catchers and receivers who are willing to block, as new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle stems off of two offenses (Sean Payton and Ben Johnson) that ask their receivers to get dirty in the running game. Jennings is one of the league's best blocking wideouts, but he also has a strong stick-moving game that combines physicality, tough YAC and reliable hands. Jennings would pair nicely with Zay Flowers and would have the opportunity to become an explosive, every-down WR2. A prove-it one-year deal with a lot of incentives makes sense.

Me too as there have been rumors about him going to the Seahawks.

But maybe that would never happen now since they resigned Shaheed

Hopefully not. They retained Jake Bobo as well. And Horton looked good before getting injured. They have a couple big bodied guys already on cheap deals.

I would love to see Cam Jordan added to this defense. I know they need to get younger but man he's just one of those hard nosed throwback types, similar to Calais Campbell who was one of the few bright spots on a terrible Cardinals defense. Jordan can still be a consistent pass rusher and fill a lot of snaps while they can add an edge rusher in the draft to take over long term.
Yes, I agree. At his age, is still very productive. Perfect for rotation and another player to help the youngsters develop. Shouldn't be too expensive for a 1-2 year deal.
so now that Huff is retired

we need:

#2/3 WR -- right now our #3 WR is Demarcus Robinson, and our #2 WR (Ricky) is always hurt, and our #4WR is either Cowing or Watkins
LG -- right now our starting LG is Brett Toth or Connor Colby
C -- it's looking like another season of Brendel
future LT -- not on the roster

DE -- we have Bosa and Mykel Williams coming off injury, then Sam Ok, Keion White (recovering from a gunshot)
DT -- added Osa, but the only other notable DTs we have are Collins and West
S -- it's looking like the same three from last year - minus Pinnock and hopefully with a rookie
CB -- it's looking like Green, Lenoir and Stout as starters again, with Luter Jr. as only notable depth

it's gonna be hard to fill all of these holes with just 6 draft picks
who else can we sign that would fill a hole or add needed depth?

Trade back from #27 to 30-40 for any trade offers that offer at least equal value that at minimum includes an additional pick(s) for this year. Preferably one that would replace the 3rd we just gave up for Osa.

In terms of the list you provided above, if no trade offers and staying at #27 I want one of

* Mesidor EDGE (now that Huff retired he is the only EDGE worth #27 that will be there
* Proctor / Iheanachor OT (either one of these two can slip inside and start at LG until Trent is gone/retires and they are the future LT at the same time)
* Omar Cooper Jr / KC Concepcion WR (when Pearsall gets hurt we are unfazed with either of these two on the squad)
