Trade targets

The schedule is still cupcake and the division is still winnable….goal this season should just be play the young guys, get them experience, make the playoffs, maybe win a wildcard round game and gear up for next year—then win it all in Levi's South in 2027 ⏳

The young ones are f**king up.

They will get better. I'm not reacting a player for one year and losing draft picks for it. To many injuries have bitten this team and I don't think there is a trade that will help us immensely.

You don't!!! I don't there is one draft pick that would help immensely. Every time the 9ers have made a trade it has gotten us to the Super Bowl.
I get Matt's point about not selling future assets to help us this season but I disagree to an extent. If we can add someone who is not a year rental and can help elevate us this year and next year then I am all for it.
Dumpster diving, low cost, high ceiling, type guys.

Team is out of REAL contention now that Warner is done.

Hard for me to accept the focus on next year analogy when we're in first place in the hardest division in football, and have an easier schedule coming up. I'm all for adding a few pieces on defense to remain competitive and see what we can do.

This!!! Why is everyone giving up on the season when we are 4-2 with a easier schedule coming up, offensive stars coming back (Brock, Kittle, Aiyuk, Pearsall) If Lynch and co really believe we have chance at a Superbowl, make whatever trade you need.
I'm resigned to getting the young guys experience. I'd rather have mid-round picks in the next draft. Heck, even trading someone for more picks if possible - but we don't really have an in-demand player.

I would be open to a trade for someone that helps us next year, and has a high ceiling on our team. But the only place I'd do that is DE.

The balance of the season is getting people back healthy - and only playing them when they are healthy.

THE REAL QUESTION?? - do we start easing off the loads for McCaffrey, Kittle, and TW. They aren't getting any younger.

This. Lynch has to step back at look at the big picture.

It sucks, and the coaches and guys on the field need to continue to fight for every inch until they are eliminated, but a GM is this situation needs to see the bigger picture.

Bigger picture as in Bosa and Warner are not guaranteed back and Kittle and CMC aren't any older

This team has no shot at a SB down Bosa,Warner & with this Oline and they know it.
I am looking at this in more of a hybrid situation. There really is not a replacement for Warner. We do have an easy schedule are 4-2 and 3-0 in the division. This team can easily make the playoffs with the players on offense coming back soon. At Linebacker I think you just have to buckle down and roll with what you have including possibly rotating players more in situations. What the teams needs more than anything to help the entire defense is any kind of pass rush. But with the team plan in place a one-year rental is out of the question. So can you find a younger pass rusher that can be extended and can help both this year and down the road as well. Unless we implode, I don't see us selling unless it is someone like JJ that seems to already have one foot out the door. Not sure you can get much for him right now anyway.
I like the idea of selling...hell I'd see what we could get for CMC.
Shanny has a way of turning nobody RBs into all-pros and we have 4th and 5th round picks and a 6th round trade sitting on the bench.
I do love the idea of getting Thibodeaux from the Giants.
They want a WR, we know Jennings is gone next year, and I wouldn't mind giving up JJ + a late pick for a young DE

I disagree wholeheartedly!!!! We are always thinking about the future, cap space, draft picks and what not. What about going all in and f**kin winning it when the Super Bowl is in your house. CMC, Trent and Kittle won't be around forever, f**kin win a damn Super Bowl!!!!

At 5-2, im all in baby! Keep injecting excitement into this crew.
Is Quinnen Williams available?
Quinnen Williams = want.

Probably more realistic, though, is someone like Arden Key, which would be great and could see him making an immediate impact on this DL, getting after QBs, etc.
