Unless Saleh thinks he's next in line with this pecking order Bethune, Robinson, then Martin

Well whatever the case, Bethune proved yesterday he can't handle that role. And Robinson is just a Special Teamer. The best outta Bethune, Robinson, Gifford and Winters is Winters. But even he was getting taking outta plays or making the wrong reads. Why not play Martin already!!!!!!!

We shall get our wish... very soon

No I don't think we should make any trades unless it's trading Brendel

The big focus with Brendel is his low marks in PP - 54 (he is very good in run blocking). He was around 59-60 last season.

The problem with trading for a Center is that to move up (62+) rating, you are going to lose as much in run blocking as you gain in pass protection. For a team that is struggling to run the ball this year, that doesn't seem like a win for us.

I said it above but there are only five Centers in the league that are well balanced between pass protection and run blocking, and none of them are available. Teams with a good Center realize their value and aren't willing to part with them.

Brendel is not a good run blocker. He grades well as a run blocker because he is relatively mobile and athletic and so he gets to the right spot at the right time more often than not. But he gets absolutely zero push, he struggles to sustain his blocks and is mostly a "get in the way" blocker.

Absolutely this!

F*** the algorithms / ratings... if a site isn't using the eye test and giving analysis like Baldinger, Sherman or even guys in here, it's BS
Maybe Jalen Reeves Maybin (name mentioned in offseason) or Chandler Wooten

I could've sworn Stone Blanton was already on our PS (gave him a tryout too)

Out of the LB's brought in, I like Jalen Reeves-Maybin. Bring him in and get rid of Gifford.

I'm with you there

It would also be nice if they can somehow get Azeez Al Shaair to come back home (mentioned to 49ers by writers)

Is it really an easy schedule going forward ?

They were never going to win anything with this Oline and it isn't getting any better.

What vet can they acquire at the deadline thats gonna significantly change their fortunes this season?

Now if you're talking about guys that aren't rentals that could contribute for more than just a half season great otherwise it's pointless.

Life must be hard for you with that attitude.
Reality is hard for some people I guess.

Still thinking that way? And by the way, how about dropping the snarkyness?

Nick Martin will hold on down the fort.

Winters not practicing, he might sit out this game. Martin's playing time should increase at least this week

We sure could use an extra guy like Maybin, Quincy Williams or any solid LB for depth and/or starter. Deadline is close

Why would I change my thinking?

Really my snarkyness?

Maybe you could explain why you have a problem with my comment and not the other posters?

Even though I like Curtis Robinson, I want Nick Martin to start. We need to see what we have in him. It's worth a shot, the LB unit is playing like s**t!!!

What about Robinson replacing Gifford (who is better)?

LOL don't even start with me about the invisible man for the 49ers.

Titans traded LB Dre'Mont Jones to the Ravens for a conditional fifth-round pick.

Jones has 35 sacks over the last 7 seasons. He seems like he would have been an ideal trade target for the Niners.
