Huh? Javon Hargrave, Richard Sherman and Charvarius Ward? The 49ers are mostly active in trades rather than all out free agency. I'd say its been a pretty solid formula.

For me its Drew Dalman and Byron Murphy. If they can come away with DJ Jones or BJ Hill that's a added bonus.

They should be able to find solid vet center and safety in FA. Probably will have 2 young guards on either side of center so a vet would make a lot of sense.

People are talking about adding a number of bigger names in FA. We don't do that. We do the sensible strategy you referred to. We've signed a few bigger names but it's one a year, maybe a lower/mid Fa and then all cheap vets. We never should have went one high end starter in Hargrave. We could have instead spent his money over the years on keeping two good starters in

We do bring in FA's. i just hope it's one or two good starters like i mentioned and then a couple bargain level starters. i don't see us going big again for someone expensive. it's not our strategy.
