QB Carousel - Predictions

Predict QB Landing spots prior to free agency

QB Needy Teams:
Texans
Colts
Commanders
Jets
Raiders
Panthers:
Saints
Falcons
Titans
Bucs
Packers (Do they believe in Jordon Love?)

Teams that may need a QB if current one doesn't resign
Ravens
Giants
Seahawks

QBs Available:
Aaron Rodgers (Not a free agent but probably gets traded)
Dereck Carr (Not a free agent but will get cut or traded)
Jimmy G
Baker Mayfield
Andy Dalton
Taylor Heinicke
Teddy Bridgewater
Sam Darnold
Garner Minshew
etc

10+ teams needing a QB and only 3 viable options IMO (A-Rod, Carr, Jimmy G)

Raiders - Rodgers
Jets - Jimmy G
Saints - Derek Carr
Falcons - Baker Mayfield
Commanders - Heinicke
Colts - Garner Minshew
Texans - Andy Dalton
Bucs - Sam Darnold
Titans - Trey Lance
Packers - Jordan Love
I predict that some NFL teams are going to fall all over themselves in an attempt to find the next "Brock Purdy." There's a chance that more than one QB needy team will take a flyer on a player who normally would have been passed over. BUT, because of what took place with Brock, some teams will make those "QB gamble" picks.

I like your Raiders Rodgers.. that's bold and with D Adams.. could happen

if HOU gets Dalton he is backup by end of Sept if not week 1 for rookie

Wait a sec what does that say on Titans...

oh no he didn't..

Yup half the picks in round 7 gonna be QBs.. you get a 4 year cheap as bleep deal hope to strike gold which of course is our thing, as 49ers.

I do too. Probably will see a lot of QB pickups in the mid rounds on players like Brock that don't have the "tools" or athleticism to make them 1st round picks.

I can see the Raiders, Jets, and Saints all get into bidding wars for the top 3 QBs.All have solid rosters and coaches that need to start winning. Commanders too.

Agree

I think the Jets have to most cap room.

Carr, IMO, would fit w/Jets, Saints very well

I think he may end up w/Colts in a VERY weak division.

But it's all a crap soot at this point.
Rodgers - Jets
Carr - Panthers
Jimmy - Raiders
Baker - Falcons (competes with Ridder) to start

Texans/Indy/Saints get there guys in the draft (Young, Stroud, Levis)

the rest will be fighting for scraps.
Jets - Rodgers
Ravens - Lamar
Texans - Bryce Young
Colts - Minshew
Titans - Carr
Raiders - Stidham
Giants - Jones
Commanders - Howell
Packers - Love
Saints - Mayfield
Panthers - Stroud
Bucs - Winston

Bucs like the vertical pass game with Evans, that's Winston's wheelhouse... just my reasoning on that one I could be wrong

JG will be with Rams imo and he will start some games next season, Stafford is a lil jacked up.

The Rams are over the cap. How are they going to have JG and Stafford on their payroll? Jimmy isnt going to take backup money or a 1 year deal thats for sure. He is going to be a starter and get paid like it somewhere whether its in Tampa Bay, Carolina, NYJ, or another spot without a proven vet

Yeah, Jimmy is going to get a starter's salary somewhere. After Rodgers and Carr, the pool is awfully thin. Rodgers is going to be really expensive and will come in with a short-timer mentality - probably a really bad idea for whatever team takes that gamble.

I've not seen much of Love other than some mediocre play. Is he certain to be the answer for GB? I would think that if they knew they had a solid starter in Love they would've moved on from Rodgers last year if not earlier for cap reasons.
