Jake Moody-K-Michigan 3rd Round 2023 Draft

Some of it was the injury. It was up in his head huge too. He even changed his whole kicking form. Just a lot of stuff going on. He's gone and it doesn't matter to us. But it's somewhat strange to me.

He exudes zero confidence

I remember him for Michigan what a beast.

He was kind of. How do you go from that to this? It's unbelievable. It's like a drop off a cliff decline. Seems improbable and impossible.

Thread should be moved to NFL talk and Kendrick Bourne thread should be moved here
The mistake here was drafting a kicker high. That's pretty much it.

The Bucs did this already and it failed spectacularly. Drafting a kicker high puts a massive mental block of pressure on them. Like a different kind. Instantly go from college star to NFL dud.

No kicker should be drafted before round 7. Ever. It's a complete waste otherwise and you're asking for disaster.

It's not bad to draft a kicker. You just want one that will work out. 3rd compensatory is like 4th. Janikowski was 1st round. While that was a bit high he was a great player and worth being drafted.
Good Night

Raider's picked a kicker in the first round and that worked pretty good for them But yeah that was a waste in our case.

Janikowski had a rough rookie year but they stuck with him and he went to have a long and mediocre career.
Sad I wasn't the one who got to move this thread from Niners Talk
Moody better start stretching out his leg...
