Those kickers that are out there are available for a reason. Either they weren't good enough or some other team released them. Only 8 kickers that played in more than 10 games were over 90%. Most were betweeen 90% and 80%. Obviously Moody was below 80% but most of those were after the injury. Let's see how hie does. If he screws up they can get some other team's castoff.

Falcons kicker is gone because they have a stud kicker already.

moody isn't mentally strong enough to be an nfl kicker imo.

This is the easiest job in football, you literally practice 1 thing most of the time away from the real football players on a side field. Kicker is so routine the nfl once thought about eliminating the PAT cause kickers rarely miss them.

They moved the PAT back and kickers now miss them fairly often. Kicking is easy when you are doing it in practice. When you're out thereinfront of 60000 people and the game is on the line it's not so easy. Keep in mind it's not just the kicker. The O line has to do their part.and prevent the kick from being blocked. The snapper has to make a good snap. A high one can through off the timing. Then the holder has to do his part.

If it was as easy as you make it sound then why aren't there any kickers that are 100% every year? If you make 5 out of every 6 you're doing a good job. 9 out of 10 and you're at the top of the league.

Lol dude has sucked in the pre season. Why let him blow some more games? I mean he's already cost this team a SB.
Lynch loves the long FG, but damn Moody shanks XPs, and kick offs!

Here's the Jax kicker knocking down a 70yrd FG in pre season

To a degree. Their regular kicker is one of the better ones in the game.

I still believe in Moody's leg...just not sure I believe in him, if that makes sense.
Has to be a kicker out there more consistent then Moody.

There may be but there are many that are worse. The problem is you won't know until they kick in games. Kicking in practice doesn't prove you can do it in games.
