You think Baker being brought in at the end of the season to be a backup in a desperation attempt is worst than the former starting QB who has close relationships with most the team. Lol holy hell

Baker is by accounts "childish and immature". if you think the Jimmy situation was... and the word is worse not worst...then im not sure what to tell ya.

With Baker we have a 50 50 with Brock or do we ride a fairytale story that Mr Irrelevant takes us all the way? Man I like Brock a lot. He did well yesterday but we need another insurance card. It might be the one I never hoped would be but are we willing to put the whole season on Brock? Defense is awesome but 17 points won't beat Dallas or the Eagles. Do what you got to do.

I'd take him on a 4 game flyer. You aren't stuck with him and we have no idea who Brock is at this point. We wouldn't have to be stuck with Baker on a long term contract and having a guy who has not only starter experience but playoff experience is of value

It will take time for him to learn the playbook. Get him as a backup. Not worried about the locker room culture. Culture is already strong IMO

Lets wait and avoid controversy in the qb room. If purdy is found out in a couple weeks, talk to him then. He was terrible in Carolina. Will he be better here? Not sure. Another piece to integrate will slow down all the other skill positions.

It's a no brained to at least put a claim in for him. Former #1 overall pick for a reason. You never know with QBs, look no further than freaking Geno Smith with Seattle. No question he's at least better than Josh Johnson

This. They've lost two QBs already. What happens if Purdy gets hurt? If the answer is that you're going to roll with Josh Johnson then you are 100% surrendering the season.
