Do we make trade before deadline

Just throwing this out there, OJ Howard. It can give some flexibility with 2TE sets. The 49ers and HOU have made a trade recently so we know they talk (Omenihu). He's a decent run blocker so there isn't a loss there and adds some playmaking ability to the TE2 spot. He's a free agent in 2023 so if HOU has no plan to retain him, they may be willing to trade.

Was pretty surprised BUF cut him

Carolina wants 2 1sts. Not gonna happen

Daron Payne should be the target. Thats the spot the 9ers need to shore up the most.

I'd like to see a DT as well. Looking at the defense, that's the biggest spot of weakness to me, especially since Armstead is injured and Kinlaw is perma-injured.

Spot on. I'm on this as well. Strengthen that middle.

Forget CMC, trade for Derrick Brown in Carolina

I keeping hearing we should get Burns, Brown, Horn.. etc..

Those guys ain't for sale is my understanding..

For example:

It's "highly unlikely" that the Carolina Panthers will trade wide receiver D.J. Moore, edge-rusher Brian Burns and defensive lineman Derrick Brown amid rumors that the team is listening to teams about offers for running back Christian McCaffrey.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported the news on Moore, Burns and Brown, noting that "they are considered building blocks for the future." ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the news on McCaffrey but wrote that "a deal might not be easy to complete." He also wrote that Carolina appears "unwilling" to deal Burns and Brown despite interest.

I want Donte Jackson. Corner with good Man skills.

Certainly better than Lenoir, Thomas, Johnson and Womack that's for sure.
When was the last time a big name player was linked to the Niners to trade and they actually traded for that player?

Wasn't that trade on a down-low, I don't remember hearing talk about it, we just suddenly traded for him. Kind of like the Jimmy G trade, know one really knew until it happened.

There was, I think, one Minnesota or Washington beat writer the night before that mentioned us as interested along with the Vikings. It wasn't significant news but I remember going to bed that night after the draft thinking it could happen and waking up the next morning during the rest of the draft to the trade being official.

#1 priority should be for a center

I don't get this how on earth you gonna plug and play a center.. your chemistry rating with the rest of the OL and JG gonna be too low the rest of the year

Jake Brendal isn't playing bad at all I don't get wanting to replace him right away.

I wouldn't say "at all" he had 3 killer penalties against Atlanta.

TRADE .. for who?

no need, we have a coach who loves to collect players to run certain plays ONLY... after that, they'r useless to him..

So he made three mistakes, but that doesn't show how his play has been overall.
