Xavien Howard

Do you guys think its a possibility now with Mike McDaniel as the coach in Miami that a trade for Howard involving Jimmy could happen? I think if we trade them Jimmy and either a 2nd or 3rd in 2022 we would have our #1 CB. I know he wants a new contract and since he sees that we are closer to a Super Bowl he could take a little less we obviously would just backend it, I say at an average of 18mil/year for 4 years? You guys think its doable?

Xavien Howard has been pretty open about getting a new contract and also a trade, i just thought i would put them together. Anyways here is the link where he asks for the trade.

NO, no way it can work cap wise, along with extending Bosa & Deebo, and re-signing any of our FAs, trading Jimmy for Xavien is defeating the purpose of unloading Jimmy, to get that cap room, cause they'll net between $12M-$14M, Xavien would take up $13,702,941 in 2022, along with $12,570,588 in 2023, & $12,835,294 in 2024, he's gonna want a new deal, no way we're giving him top CB money, he's not taking $18M a yr, he'll want Ramsey money, $20M a yr.
How about trading McGlinchy, and either Mosley or Greenlaw for Howard. The numbers add up and we would still have a Super Bowl roster. Jimmy G being traded would allow to resign many of our guys. They can also restructure Armstead and Kittle, while adding a year to Ward's deal by extending him and saving some cap space. We
definitely can upgrade the roster and sign Bosa and Deebo to future extensions.

Great job educating the guys that have no idea that there is a cap, and doesn't know how football stuff works!
I highly doubt we will be able to get Howard realistically without giving up some hefty assets that aren't jimmy g. The only possible way we can get this done is if that report of Commanders considering trading away their 1st round pick is somehow true and we give up jimmy and a 3rd for that pick and just sending that 1st round pick to Howard in a pseudo 3 team trade, but that's highly unlikely cause quite a few things have to happen like Howard wanting a trade and willing to sign a slightly team friendly deal to become a part of a contending team, the dolphins wanting to trade away Howard, and Washington being bonkers enough to trade that 1st. I only see this happening in madden but it could be done theoretically.
