While I'm okay with Ruggs eventually being forgiven. But I sure as s**t would not f**king reward him with a contract.

He's under his rookie contract. he'll be cheap. and cheap for a long time with this over his head

Minimum of 2 years in prison no parole. Just cause he's a football player doesn't make him exempt from the law. And that's not even taking into account his illegal firearm, doing 157 MPH. I don't know why you're trying to sell him so quick. Like you want to give this guy a contract before his victim has even had a funeral.

Donte Stallworth did'nt do time. Parole yes but was able to play the following year..

Stallworth case was also a complete f**king failure of our justice system. That hopefully won't happen again.

I thought Ray Lewis' was but money talks and payoffs ae real.
Ray Lewis was self defense. Ruggs was doing 150 mph and was drunk. Like f**k man you realize some kid f**king died right? Can you wait like 6 months before being so obtuse

Yea where I'm from we're taught to move on a deal with it. It's going to happen anyway. Am I just to far ahead of the curve? Or your argument is because someone died in a tragic accident because Ruggs did something stupid that everyone on here has probably done once in life the world should stop?

I'm saying you're being incredibly disrespectful to the dead. Just to speculate to try and improve your favorite team in a game. It's f**king classes

You know I find bigger offense in assaults' this was a car accident, punching someone that is intentional
This is the NFL and people seem to get away with crazy s**t and are always forgiven if they have talent, unless you hit a woman or kneel for the anthem. D-NOTTE makes a good point though that Donte Stallworth did the same thing, served 30 days in jail, and was back in the NFL the next year. However, Jed York doesnt like to take chances on guys like this after we kept forgiving Aldon Smith. Doubt we take a flier on the kid if he does indeed do minimal time and cleans up his act and is forgiven.

I agree with this. I don't think we would either but we could sign to have the rights. Because some team will get him

Remember this too:

Former St. Louis Rams defensive end Leonard Little pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in June 1998 after he hit and killed a woman, Susan Gutweiler, while driving under the influence in St. Louis.

The accident occurred after Little's 24th birthday party and a blood test showed Little had a blood-alcohol level of .19, nearly twice the legal limit of .10 at that time.

Little was given four years of probation, ordered to perform 1,000 hours of community service and sentenced to 90 days in a city workhouse. Gutweiler's husband said the family received a small settlement from a civil proceeding against Little.

And This:

Former Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Josh Brent was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in 2014. Brent was driving home from a night of partying in December 2012 when he lost control of his car and crashed, killing his Dallas teammate, Jerry Brown, in the passenger seat.

Blood tests showed Brent's alcohol level at .18, more than twice Texas' legal limit of .08. Brent faced up to 20 years in prison, but was sentenced to 180 days in jail and 10 years of probation.

Following the accident, Brent stepped away from football for two years. He returned to the Cowboys in 2014, appearing in one game before retiring from the NFL in 2015.

ALL OF THEM PLAYED AGAIN

How many killed someone going 130 MPH, 2x the legal limit, and had a loaded gun in his car?

Stop it.

So let some other team deal with the b******t that comes with it...there's a f**k ton of WRs in the league and in college that can play football.

You're acting like SF is gonna just pick him up in a week lol.

Stallworth's arrest.... Happened in FL. Ruggs' happened in LV, I don't know how the legal world works but state to state might have a different sentencing for something like this.

Playing football is the least of his worries right now.

Thats funny. Ive been here longer than all of you but you want to ban me....lol

Not longer than me and no do not want because bad decision making
IF there are a F**K ton why don't we have a deep threat? If you read my post it said sign to have right so when the extra sensitive folks feels like its been long enough we could get him. I've also said repeated the kid messed up but Im no saint either. I dont judge anyone on a higher scale than I judge myself Something that is missing in folks like you. Usually when folks start scream end and lock this is because they have nothing intelligent to add. Reading is fundamental

According to commenters in NFL Reddit, a crime like this can result in a 2 to 20 year sentence in LV. That's also not including any possible civil suits from the victim's family.
