Colts and Mack have mutually agreed to seek a trade, Has one year left on deal and is fully healthy coming off ACL tear last year.

Should the Niners take a chance on him given the thin depth at RB this season??

I really want to see Kerryon Johnson perform before any trade honestly

I've been stranded in Detroit for 8 years. Kerryon had no burst and was afraid to hit the gap. Only area he seemed to excel in was pass protection. No power and no speed compounded with injuries. He had every chance to carry the rock with Stafford at the helm, and he underwhelmed. I would be curious enough to kick the tires on Mack and see if he can add anything to our backfield because Sermon has not impressed me so far. Very similar to Kerryon. Mack seems to have the speed and quickness that excel in our scheme. Hopefully Mitchell can get and stay healthy.
Send a conditional 6th round pick
Seriously, just make the trade! Will take a late round pick. Mitchell is good but he cant be a bellcow. Sermon is going to need some time but I think will be best utilized as a game finisher and short yardage back. Looking forward to Wilson/Hasty back but we have to prepare for more injuries down the road. Marlon Mack is a very capable back who is probably better than all of our RBs except Wilson.

If Wilson comes back by week 8 then whats the point? You are looking at 4 games and if you did bring Mack in he wouldnt be ready this week for sure so now you are looking at 3 games.

+1. In a few weeks Sermon will be back to inactive and we'll be loaded with productive RB's. CB on the other hand...

This. Gillmore will be healthy soon and he was DPOY in 2019 on a Pats team with little pass rush. Imagine him here with our front 7. He will most likely be too expensive even though I know we could get him for a second or third rounder.

He would definitely make me stop whining for Richard Sherman!!!

I just can't see it happening, realistically. 49ers do not have the cap space (that I know of) or draft capital to make this trade. Unless of course they would take a 2nd round pick plus a player, maybe Moseley or Jimmie Ward, maybe even Jaquiski Tartt. 49ers could always pluck Ha Ha Clinton Dix off the Raiders practice squad.

This secondary isn't that bad to be honest, but I don't think it's good enough to take the 9ers NFC Championship, especially if every other CB keeps getting injured. They need to fix or patch the secondary ASAP!!!!

If we pick up Gilmore, our secondary woes are solved. You got Gilmore on one side, then a combination of Norman, Moseley, Lennoir, Williams available to cover either behind him or the opposite side of him. With Tartt and Ward, our secondary would be pretty decent, probably even better than 2019.

Well we have a 2nd and 2 3rds (from Saleh and The assistant GM that's now the GM of the Washington) so we definitely have the capital. Next year Jimmy takes off 26 million on the salary cap so we can make it work for sure. A top 10-20 cb if certainly worth a second or third rounder and some cap space. Especially with the wrs we face

This. f**k get with it Lynch. We need to keep up with the wrs and qbs in our division. No sense keeping draft capital bc you get a proven player whereas a draft pick can always bust or take time to get better

Every time the 49ers have made a trade it has benefited. I wish we could hear some news or rumors at least of the 9ers trading for someone.

1. Laken Tomlinson - Solid starter at LG
2. Jimmy G - Franchise QB
3. Emmanuel Sanders - Helped jump start the offense.
4. Trent Williams - Franchise LT
5. DeForest Buckner - Looked good at the time but netted the 49ers the #13 overall pick. But yah, overall I regret this trade to the fullest!!!

How about some defensive help now!!!

I think we need a big stable of RBs going into the post season. Wilson is coming back but from a bad injury so I dont want to assume he is going to be in RB1 form right off the bat. Mitchell is great but he isnt a bellcow. I dont think you can give him 20 touches a game and expect him to last til the SB. Hasty is great but I think Mack is better. Overall, it wouldnt cost alot to get Mack. I know we will be kicking ourselves if another team gets Mack for a 6th rounder and in week 14, we are starting Jacques Patrick and Trenton Cannon.

I picked up Mack in fantasy a few weeks back when the rumor started with him to SF, but have since given up hope given how long it's taken. Any remaining interest in Mackwould suggest that Jeff Wilson Jr doesn't play this season and that's not a good thing

Or it's that we just can't trust our rb depth and a cheap starting material rb can be brought in for like a 6th

Mack has a career average of 4.4 yds/attempt. Not bad. However, he missed all but one game in 2019 with injuries and has not been able to beat out Taylor the last two years. Is Taylor just that good, or has Mack lost a step?

If Wilson is not on track to return in another four games, then he stays on IR and bring in Mack. The cost will be dictated by the competition. KC needs a RB right now. So does Carolina. It will likely take at least a 6th to get him.
