RB Kerryon Johnson

I was thinking Chris Thompson would have been signed to the active roster since he's somewhat familiar with the playbook. Maybe Thompson isn't in football shape yet, I'm gonna assume.

It's wild that it is only week 3, but we are down Raheem, Wilson Jr, Hasty and Mitchell.

I loved Kerryon Johnson coming out of Auburn. He was a high 2nd rd pick and had a really good rookie season with the Lions but then could never stay healthy. Only 24yrs old and fits the KS/Bobby Turner, run-zone blocking scheme. Don't sleep on this guy!

All the RBs tomorrow:

Out of all the RB's we brought in for a workout and the 3 other RB signings, this was my favorite. He fits the Mostert/Mitchell mold. Great for those outside zone and stretch plays. We do not have that in Sermon, Cannon and Patrick. I would love to see Johnson get 10+ touches if the middle is clogged.

Running the ball and long drives are the keys to beating GB. Keep the ball out of Rodgers hands.

Sermon looked like he has good burst. Someone said his acceleration is clocked similar to Monstert. I would have to see that source. For Johnson I hope he can pick up the blitz and he stays healthy.

Sermon had the exact same 10 yard split time as Mostert. He's quick, but not more than average speed. He's a strong, instinctual runner with above average vision, and very good contact balance. Kerryon was really good in college, I hope the knee issues are straightened out.

To me that screams crack toss. Watch for for this if they do a good job setting the edge. He's not fast enough to stretch it outside but he is quick enough to to make that one cut and get up field.

Solid info. We don't need home run TDs against the pack. Long methodical clock usage like we did on those 95 yard possessions against the Eagles will keep the ball out of Rodgers hands.

I'll take about 5 or 6 homerun TD's, please and thank you.

I'd settle for five or six sacks and five or six turnovers.
Hope that our defense puts a lot of pressure on Mr. Commercial and Co. And our offense establishes the running game early and sets up a bunch of explosive plays... Go Niners
