never liked him and thought he was mediocre, but he can prove me wrong.

Grateful for this opportunity with the 49ers I Remember my DB Coach At Alabama Coach Greg Brown speaking so highly of the 49ers and how great the organization was and the DB's he coached. I'm Thankful to be apart of this organization. RENT IS DUE‼️‼️ 🦍 #49er #Work #God100

it is a good depth signing for now, we have taken a couple of hits at the position in training camp. Guys will heal and he will get a chance in the meantime to prove he is worth keeping.

Yup, not sure why all the hate on Ha Ha? He's not a pro-bowler (if he was he wouldn't be available right now) but he's got plenty of starts under his belt and can play all over the field.
I think they could have done much worse at this point in the off season.

Solid depth signing. Be curious to see how he does battling for time against Wilson and Jefferson

Jefferson is out right now as well...I've also heard he's been awful in coverage.

I always felt it was his name more than his ability that made him easily remembered. Still, he's a decent player that can certainly add some depth if nothing else while JT is out. Besides, I can't wait until Tim Ryan messes up his name during a game and calls him Clinton's dick.

Wait, so a bit of criticism on his game is now considered 'hate'?

I've read a number of articles and thought this one, from a Packers site, gave a good summary of how a former Pro Bowler, and 2nd team All Pro, went from that to a street free agent in a span of 3 seasons.
https://www.packersnews.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/dougherty/2018/11/01/dougherty-unraveling-mystery-ha-ha-clinton-dixs-decline/1848782002/
"He thought he was good enough that he didn't have to study as much as a rookie (does)," a team source said of Clinton-Dix's mindset the last two seasons. "He's guessing (in pass coverage). He's thinking that's how you get paid."
It's true that Clinton-Dix has his moments of excellence, like his impressive interception of Buffalo rookie quarterback Josh Allen in Week 4 this year. On that play, Clinton-Dix held his deep zone until Allen threw outside, then made a strong break on the ball and knocked receiver Kelvin Benjamin out of the game while making a tough, physical interception.
But then there are the big plays where he freelanced and gave up points.
But after a Pro Bowl season in 2016 he lost his edge, fell in love with the idea that he's a playmaker and turned into a gambler at a position that punishes gamblers.
--------------------------
If Ha Ha doesn't change his game, we will see what DeMeco Ryans values in his safeties - solid play versus big play ability. Ryans just talked about how he's all about turnovers. Ha Ha gambles to create turnovers, and he's shown he can get them, but with that comes occasionally surrendering the big play.

New #49ers Safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix stayed after his first practice with the team to get some extra work in. pic.twitter.com/5venKyoOSM

Now I hear that Jefferson is still hobbling a bit from his rehab. Sounds like that is going to be a weak spot in the defense. Bosa and Ford need to put lot's of pressure on the QB or those guys are going to get burned.

safety has always been the weak spot since Hitner and Goldson/Reid left.
Don't @ me about Ward.

agreed it's a little odd. The getting cut by the cowboys thing rings especially strange; they ate his contract too.
This guy could/should be solid at a minimum.
