And more importantly an all pro. Pretty good instincts and can get ints. Not a great tackler but we have Ward for that

I'm sure this is exactly what they thought when signing him.
lol

Lets sign a dude that we dont think will help

Well there's a reason we are in August and he is still available, and why he has been on so many teams. People should lower their expectations.

The only expectation he seems to meet is being on the field… outside of that it's hard to think he is gonna be some hidden gem of a signing.

The only thing I remember about him besides his name was that people in Green Bay thought he was overrated. Then being on the bears and cut by the cowboys… seems to confirm that. But hey, maybe lightning can strike twice and he pulls off another pro bowl season if he has to step in, doubtful but stranger things have happened like Carlos Rogers.

Always healthy! No one can say that out of our dbs except maybe Mosley. Ps he probably has more turnovers than our starting dbs combined lol. Year off too! 29 years old. Great signing

Ha Ha is way better than Tart. Ha Ha has 80-100 combined tackles per year before 2020. Tart's best year was his rookie year where he had 65 combined tackles and was in 40s 2018 and 2019.
Big Dix energy this season!

Can't really count stats when comparing a guy who can't stay on the field to one who can unless it's a per game basis. Plus IIRC He struggled allot in GB after his good year because he thought he was so good he didn't need to play within the system… and he sucked. He would have one good play for an int and give up 5 because he would do his own thing at a position where unless your name is Polomalu or Ed Reed, you're gonna fail hard.

Health wise Dix is way better, but all things equal when they are both on the field… Tartt is a way better SS and it showed when he wasn't on the field in 2019 which missed him as a clean up artist.

But unless Dix shows he can finally adhere to a system, get his ego in check and realize he's not a HOFer who can gamble on every play… he's camp fodder regardless of his resume. Which is why he was still on the streets.

I like the sound of that. I'm not expecting much from him though tbh.. who knows, though, maybe he'll turn out to be a quality signing the Same way Hyder was last season.

Uhhhhh He's been more successful than all of our Db's. And he's not that old.

And he will play on a better D. I think he can be a solid starter if our Dline takes a leap and is healthy.

From reading around, that seems to be the book on him, that he freelances too often for DCs to be comfortable with. On defense, it really is about, 'do your job', and a defender that won't stick to his assignment will find himself not playing.

Makes sense on why he's a free agent.

Sounds like his attitude has been his downfall. Let's hope he can tone it down with us.
