September 2020 ACL tear but still only 25 years old, 5 years in the league. 1st round, 15th pick. Colts declined his 5th year option.
Might be worth signing him to a cap friendly 2-3 year deal for depth and possibly getting a replacement for Ward or Tartt once he's healthy.

Tartt is on a 1 year deal and Ward is only around until next year I think. Not sure about Tarvarius Moore and Marcell Harris' contract situations but Hooker is a 1st round talent when healthy.

I think his injuries might be a reason he's not signed yet. I read he's been injured a lot and hasn't played an actual full season. To be honest, sounds like a player right up in our alley

I don't know. Even when healthy Hooker wasn't the impact he was at Ohio State. People were expecting a sideline to sideline middle fielder like ET3. But it's seems like when he was at OSU he was more a product of being a ridiculous athlete capitalizing on weaker armed college QBs. If he lost a few steps from his injuries he will have to rely on technique and game knowledge. I'm rooting for him but I think he's done.

We will see. Injuries have kicked his ass. He was making plays in Indy when healthy.

I'd sign him for a cheap 1 year deal and see what happens like we did Verret. If it works out then great if not he's gone next year or on IR and not taking up a roster spot.

He's just not durable, and we already have health issues on our roster. Cowboys, Seahawks, and Chargers have a bigger need for Hooker than us.

Cowboys had him in for a visit. They went in a different direction.

If he doesn't play Edge, G, T, or CB, then he can kick rocks.

The odds of him beating out Ward and Moore are slim to none.

I'd like to bring him in. His range and ball skills were amazing coming out. Roll the dice if he could be had cheap.

I'm surprised he is still on the market. I wonder if he is still injured and can't pass a physical?
