I think he'd be a nice piece to add if we can get him for 1 year @ 2 or 3M. He would not only bolster the return game, but he could be used in a lot of different ways in Kyles system- would add depth at WR & RB.

I'm all for it.

He'd come cheap at this point and he's an upgrade in the return game and as a receiver. He hasn't returned punts since college though, I don't know if he'd be willing to do it now or if we'd need somebody else to handle that.

BEEN asking the team to sign this guy... he may not be a true WR, but he is very good in the return game.. plus, he'll be our best WR going deep !!

If we sign him it wont be for his receiving skills. Hes a one trick pony there. Every DB knows the route hes gonna gonna run so it doesn't matter how fast he is.

It seems like I've had Patterson in my offseason mock draft with FA every single year.

We need a reliable return man that can play kick coverage as well. I think he's still got it for a couple seasons.

IF we sign him, he'll help us a lot as a returner.. we haven't had a TRUE returner since Teddy Ginn Jr.. and since we have a pretty good offense, he would also help a lot if he can get us into a nice field position.

can't we use the money we signed the 5 FAs that aren't going to make the team and offer this guy plus NICE incentives so that he can be our specialist???

we have Sanu and two other WRs that wont make the team, then the newly signed QB from the Eagles.. and some DBs that will only be hear to get measured w/a uniform..

i mean, c'mon... give us some players that will help the team this year at least...

Isn't he primarily a kick off returner? now most of the kick off's go out of the Endzone so there would be little impact by signing him. What we really need is an elusive punt returner. That would help our special-teams more than anything because we haven't had one since Ted Ginn Junior.

I am so done with all the fair catches and just average returns, I don't see how our coaches are OK with this. Just because we have an awesome kicker and an above average punter doesn't mean we don't need a damn return man. Damn you Pettis

8 KR TDs in 8 seasons. 1 each the last 3. 1 KR TD could be 1 win. He aslo fits the jet sweep game in our offense. Has experience recieving and taking hand offs. Perfect low cost fit that is a difference maker.

JUST the chance for this guy to get us to a good field position should be more than enough... heck, didn't we just re-signed that useless GOODWIN??
