Andy Dalton

What about him is underrated? 174 career turnovers in 144 games with a 62% completion percentage. The guy had Cooper, Lamb, Gallup, Wilson, Schultz, and Zeke, yet he still looked mediocre in the worst division in football.

Enough with the backup Jimmy talk guys.

With Dalton making $7M last season, and Fitzpatrick signing for $10M this season, it makes absolutely no sense to try to bring in Dalton as a backup. We should not be allocating anything close $7-10M in a backup QB when we have much more important holes on the team to try to plug.

Again, as a backup not a long term starter

Matthew Stafford 177 career turnovers in 165 games. 62% Yet people wanted him as our starter

I'd rather them draft a rookie with the 12th pick or trade up in the top 5 for Zach Wilson preferably.
Don't even want him as the backup let alone the starter.
Umm no... it means we have a quality back up qb. Not everything has to be overthought.

How much you think it will cost? s**t makes no sense. We have a QB1 who's future is in question and the whole reason we are looking at Dalton is because we need a "quality" back up in case QB1 is out again. Dalton for sure isn't in the plans for the future, simply would be here for the in case injury factor. Why not draft someone high in the 1st who will cost less than all of the above and could be an answer to all of the above?

And this. I would rather see what Rosen does instead of seeing what Dalton does

We shouldn't be throwing money at Dalton to come here and be JAG. That money could be better spent on keeping someone like K'waun, Hyder, or DJ. If Jimmy goes down again we aren't making the playoffs with Dalton, CJ, or Rosen.

The worst part is watch how fast this place turns on Dalton, Shanny and Lynch if Jimmy goes down AGAIN, and Dalton does what he's done for the majority of his career, which is play like a mediocre QB that leads his team's nowhere.

Spend that money elsewhere and go draft a QB.

I really hope we don't get Dalton. He played awful on the Cowboys. Noodle arm and not that accurate. He'd be like a really expensive and only slightly better Brian Hoyer or Blaine Gabbert.

Omg Hoyer and Gabbert! What a pair to be compared with! But I would start Rosen rather than Dalton.

No he didnt. He played awful the first couple games. He played good football the last 7.
