I'd rather just keep Richburg if healthy - he's a little younger than Mack.

Richburg may never play again. Meanwhile Mack has missed like two games since 2015.

Why what's the deal with Richburg, I thought he was on schedule to return?

He was on schedule to return in 2020!! He is expensive and w/o any valid reason as to why he was out. Dude appears to be done.

This is probably the move to be made.

I'd be down for that as well.

Dude he tore his F'ing patellar tendon, I have no idea why we acted like he'd come back, but almost no one comes back from this injury!

What are you talking about? People come back from patellar's.

Not many tho., and considering he had a quad injury with same knee/leg before hand, I say Adios!!
We didn't give up on Mc. Kinnon, and we got boo boo from him this year. When a guy is done, we need to cut our losses!
I wanted us to draft Mack , after he whooped BJ Radji's ass all week in Senior Bowl practice (whom most of you wanted). GET MACK NOW !! and draft his replacement (Quinn Meinerz, Creed Humphrey, etc.) and DUMP every Center on our roster now.

I'm just worried they wouldn't take a center and take something random instead like a TE or a strong safety

We have a lot of picks. Hopefully we use a late day 2 or early day 3 pick on a C.

Why are we always signing guys 4-5 years too late?

Do you have a time machine to go back and sign him five years ago? If not I don't understand the complaint. He's available now in 2021. He's definitely on the downside of his career but he is still a very good center, knows the offense and has missed only 2 games since 2015. The Rams have a 40 year old left tackle that they signed at around the same age as Mack. If the 49ers can get a solid year or two out of 35 year old Alex Mack, that would be outstanding.

Pretty sure he wasn't a FA 4 yrs ago lol. He's a solid starter who knows the scheme, won't cost a fortune...it kicks the need for a center down the road a couple yrs.
