Cousins is coming off the best season of his career, I don't get the feeling that they are at all desperate to trade him. They had a Top 10 offense with Cousins at QB and this as their OL:

A lot went wrong for them last season. Cousins was among the least of their problems.
Last year Cousins was a lot more efficient than this year, especially with the interceptions he threw this year. Also, we have to factor in that his receivers were elite as well as his running back. Absolutely loaded offense so he had tons and tons of help. Even if his line wasn't that great in pass pro they were excellent in run blocking so he had a lot of easy completions to those wide open receivers. He also played against prevent defense almost every game. No chance in hell we should give them anything especially considering if Garoppolo have those weapons it would be game over and his contract is a joke

I'll take Cousins over Jimmy. Better arm, more accurate.

They would be. They'd be giving a better quarterback. But is it a big enough difference to justify 4 million? I don't think so.

When the season starts, give me Jimmy G...29 years old, beloved by his teammates, been in this system now for a few years, has a chip on his shoulder(I imagine), and has been to a Super Bowl with this franchise over a 33-year-old Kirk Cousins who the Vikings fanbase will rejoice in trading him.
On paper, I get it Kirk has produced more in his career and has been in Kyles system in the past. I just do not see him as a clear upgrade over Jimmy G and if we are going to move on the player better be a clear upgrade IMO. This year, that upgrade(again IMO) is Deshaun Watson or Zach Wilson. Obviously not sure if either is attainable, but just say no to Kirk freaking Cousins.

Don't believe we can win a SB with Cousins any more than with Jimmy so meh, might as well keep the draft picks.

Schefter saying that he hasn't heard any rumours regarding Cousins and SF....I think I'll take his word a bit more seriously than some random twit(ter).

Schefter is almost always right too. Dude was money about us not being that interested in stafford.

I swear if a team dropped their 3rd string QB twitter would immediately tie the 49ers to him.
