It's not about Kirk being better than Jimmy, imo a lot of QBs are better...is he so much better that you're gonna pay him $56M in real money? You're not gonna be able to resign many guys in this scenario.

Going into 5 years with the Lynch/Shanahan regime haven't we learned by now not to trust rumors and sources around the team.

Just look at Stafford. We apparently had the inside track in getting him and offered 2 2nds and 2 3rds but today we only had some conversations with Detroit and never made a serious offer.

Give the front office credit but they simply just don't let leaks out and I highly doubt reported interest in Cousins is coming from the 9ers themselves.

Sounds like it's being assumed that because Shanahan loves Cousins he'd push to trade for him if he can not because anyone in the front office has said they would.
