Him .

IDGAF about Cousins .

The hate for Cousins is just bizarre... every time his name is brought up on any site, I see people explaining objectively why Cousins is a good QB, and even MORE people screaming that he sucks with no evidence that he actually does. It's the strangest thing.

you can post stats until the cows come home but he seems to crumble under pressure. and even more so in prime time. Jimmy has at least shown some really clutch moments. in 2019 alone he was credited with 4 come from behind wins on 4 game winning drives. that's more than Kirky has had in the last 3 seasons total.

Yeah Cousins has never had any signature under-pressure moments. No sir none at all.

lol one.

Cousins is less of an upgrade than Stafford was. In fact, he's not a big one at all. Cousins has a better arm, no question. But he's reckless too, and he doesn't have as good of short range improvisational skills.

But I'd always take an upgrade. As always, it comes down to price.

Cousins has a better arm than Stafford? Highly disagree there even tho I don't think Cousins has a weak arm either but Stafford as an absolute elite arm. I don't think Cousins is terrible my complaint with his ass is he has a remarkably hard time winning the big games and against the top teams. And yes I know about that 1 game at NO but 1 isn't good enough for me, not close

Meant better than Jimmy. Let me edit to clarify

That is never guaranteed. With that OL last year, any QB would be at risk. The Niners lost two QBs, and had the most players on IR in the league.

You must not be familiar with the OL that the Vikings have been trotting out there for the past few years.
Haven't read any responses in this thread or arguments for or against.

Hell no to *$#%*%$ kirk cousins.

All of you wanting Cousins are missing one HUGE problem with him:

Do you REALLY want to hear his super high pitch, incredibly grating cadence every play for an entire season or two?

I, for one, do not. But if he spends the off season with a vocal coach maybe he can fix it.

If he scores much touchdowns, he can talk like Gilbert Gottfried for all I care.
Why is this a topic of discussion? We aren't going with Cousins. That's a lateral move.

His inflated cap hit next year (and inability to cut him) would hurt our options to sign who we need to. I would rather move up to draft a QB, let Jimmy run with it this year and see if he can redeem himself. If not let the rookie take his lumps.

His cap number is lower than Garoppolo this year, by next year the cap will be going way up again.

Many counted on the cap increasing this year, I don't know if we can necessarily count of these things. Wouldn't shock me to see another season without fans in the seats, or limited at least.

If you can tolerate the finger nails on chalkboard nature of his voice, then I suppose it comes down to cost.

According to whom? Shanahan has had a for Cousins since he was in college.

Edit - but he does have one thing going for him that no one can doubt: next season he's cheaper than Jimmy because the Vikings have to eat his bonus. Which means the 49ers could spend on Williams and Verrett. And maybe someone else, like Alex Mack (bye Richie Rich).

I can't deny, the guy has a voice of an angel. A combination of Fergie and Jesus. The trade might just be worth it to have him do halftime shows.

I think it's bad enough we had to endure Gilbert Gottfried read a passage from 50 Shades of Grey. Hearing "Red 80 hut" week in and week out would give me nightmares
