Dwayne Haskins released

Do you think we try to make a grab for him?

Some say he's a distraction, but i say the dude just hasn't been in a great scheme.

He could succeed in Shanahan's offense.
Lol best thing he's ever done is expose Stephon A Smith for talkin out his ass.

Is there a reason to think he couldn't?

How about every game he ever started
I say grab him and allow him to work over the the eat of the winter and spring learning the system and learning about himself like Josh Rosen. We aren't drafting a QB until the 2nd or 3rd round if not later so trying to rehabilitate a couple of QBs won't hurt. Our coaches and culture is far better than the WFT so I'm ok with it. Doesn't cost us anything either

Yes. He's an idiot. Idiots don't fare well in this offense, or most others. He'll be out of the league for good by the end of next season. Plenty of talent but doesn't have it between the ears.
Damn. These teams are quick to give up on a QB. First Rosen, now Haskins. These teams are not very patient or it proves that QB's are usually over drafted. (maybe a little bit of both. )

Haskins is an entirely different situation where the guy couldn't help from doing dumb stuff that pissed off the coaches and his teammates. He just seems like someone that is extremely immature and not particularly bright, squandering an amazing opportunity that few will ever have.
Patriots maybe ?

I think value wise it's worth a shot. We have the vets to get his head straight. Trent Williams and Sherman (if back) wouldn't be having any of that nonsense

What makes him not bright? I think he's just immature.

Haskins is 23 years old, soon to be 24 years old. He's not 18 or 19, at his age, constantly doing dumb stuff without considering the consequences isn't a phase that you just magically grow out of, its baked in. This is just who he is, he prioritizes the QB lifestyle over actually doing the things you need to do in order to succeed as an NFL quarterback. Matt Leinart was the same way.
Dan Snyder wanted to move up to the #1 slot to draft Haskins
