They will probably have the number 1 pick-they wont swap with us.. we'd have to give it up. Trade down and give them a 2nd. or 3rd. , (if they draft Trevor Lawrence, they will have to dump Darnold, dont overpay!

Hell no, not for those 2 QBs, a hard pass for Darnold, and I'm unsure of Jordan Love. No way I trade down in the 1st and acquire a QB only, it'd have to include draft picks.

Yeah no way the Jets give up the #1 pick for us to take Darnold, who I'm very much against. Plus no way the Jets trade the 1st pick when they'd definitely take a QB, especially if they do give up on Darnold.
I wouldn't mind two of the following trade downs with Washington or Indy for their 1st, 2nd and probably a 4th or 5th. Based on current needs, I can't see the Niners getting enough quality guys at CB or OL in FA so draft for need at 19 or 21. In this scenario, I'm rolling with Jimmy for another year so that pick is either gonna be a OL or CB.

We need another impact player and immediate starter like Bosa and those can only be found in the top 10 in my opinion. Later in the first we get into "incredible potential" type players that need time to develop, like Kinlaw. The only exception is QB and they need to sit and learn a little. I'm for trading into the top 10 and drafting QB.

We have extra 3rd rounders, can they be traded?
A trade down for a 1st next year would be great. Next years draft will be loaded and 2 first rounds picks would be the thing to try and do.

Personally the only reason you trade up, in my opinion, is to get an impact player - at the QB or edge rusher position. Outside of a quality impact QB and Edge Rusher available - I'm trading down or picking best player available.
